Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not work... returned I used the product for a week. Despite my humidity Guage showing 55% humidity in the room, the machine only removed about 4 tablespoons of water in a week.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy again I bought two of these from Home Depot on line in June of 2015. The units worked ok as it relates to taking out moisture until one of them just stopped working in early Sept. (just out of warranty of course so home depot wouldn't give me a refund/credit). I tried plugging in the cord from the other unit to see if it was a power issue but it wasn't. Can't recommend a product that only lasted 14 months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ineffective Our house is generally at 65-70% humidity with the bathrooms naturally a bit higher. We put this unit in a small (5x7) bathroom in the hopes of controlling mildew. After two weeks of running 24/7, we have only accumulated about an inch of water in the container with no noticeable change in humidity. Definitely not up to expectations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I ditto Imagodgirl Same happened for me Had unit on for days and got a tablespoon of water at 70 percent humidity. Something wrong with SPTs quality control! Less than one star here too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small machine does small job It is definitely very quiet, but it's hard to tell if it's really working up to par. I put it in the doorway of my bathroom near a shower that drips constantly, and it accumulated about a half an inch of water. (by the way, it says not for use in bathrooms) I figured I would get better results there, but I put it in an under stairs closet where the main problem is, and after about a week, it collected a little over 2 1/2 cups. This area is about 75f 65-75% humidity. The musty odor has been reduced, but I was hoping for a little more water pulled out. I will run it in there nonstop, and use it in a pantry near a deep freeze that will make a puddle when it gets too humid. I think it will curb mold/mildew problems, but I don't see it making an area dry. I hung a wet, wrung out hand towel near the unit and over 12 hours later the towel was still quite wet. I think a big problem is that it doesn't seem to draw air very quickly, so it can't work an area more than a few cubic feet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORTHLESS This unit is worthless. One star is one too many. My room is 9x12 and for 2 months ran machine non-stop, collected about 2 tablespoons water. Put one small tub Damp Rid in my room and the tub filled up in a day and continues to work! $2.97 for refillable tub that uses no electricity and takes the moisture out, versus $60.OO FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. You are smart so which would you buy?
