can this be used as structural beam?

I'm remodeling a home that wants to use it as a structural piece in a room in place of a wall.

All of the Superior Faux Beams are for decorative purposes only. They can be used to cover structural pieces such as steel, LVL and etc.

Does this beam have 3 or 4 sides? Also, is it hollow?

Cutting the faux beam

How difficult are these to cut? I want to use one at the point on my vaulted ceiling but would need to cut a hole for the ceiling fan. Is this possible?

Yes, cutting the beams isn't a problem. You can use a large drill bit for the application you describe.
