Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Parker Problem with Bronze Finish
Installed this door in September 2013. 2 years later the bronze coating is peeling off the bottom track and the metal piece attached to the bottom of the glass. Sterling has a 5 year warranty but refuses to stand behind their product. I would not recommend this product or any other Sterling product based on refusal to honor warranty or stand behind their product.

I love this product, shower doors are SO much better than curtains. The frameless look is new to me, its very sleek and modern which I like. The hardware oddly enough does not match the trim... hardware is more of a polished finish, trim is more brushed but it doesn't clash. My initial complaint was that it was short, I recall growing up in my parents' house the shower door being much taller, but I was a kid then and now I'm 6'4" so I guess there is some age/height bias in there. But this is pretty much as tall as they come from in-stock items, if you're my height and want a door you can't see over, you'll probably have to get a custom built. OH, FYI, the glass comes coated to resist stains and scum which is great.

At first, I liked this door. It has a nice clean look and was easy to install. The problem is with the roller brackets that attach to the glass. They are very thin aluminum and bent way too easily. Kohler has since replace the brackets which are a little thicker and I'll have to see how they hold up. IMOP, the brackets in the box pose a safety risk due to the door coming off track, which it did twice. Pics of old brackets are attached. If you buy the door, immediately contact Kohler to get new brackets.

Installing the bottom and top were a piece of cake. the sides were a little more difficult due to the curvature of our tub in the corners. You had to shape the bottom of the side rails by grinding and rounding off so the sides would fit properly. Took a little time but eventually got it. Other than that they look professionally installed.

The wonderful fact is that the sheen on the material will never dull and the color is solid through the product. This is a solid middle of the road covering for your alcove bath needs. One word of caution, be careful when tightening such items as grab bars as I did because it caused a small crack in that installation area. I simply added some silicone caulk around the handle securing area, as I did the screw holes, and it is fine.
Be moderately careful as the material is mildly fragile but it's well worth it because it is such a nice product. I really couldn't be happier. I spoke with a retired installer for a major hotel chain and he highly recommended the product as being the best bang for the buck as far as durability and maintaining it's look for virtually ever.

Great product and value, easy installation, about 2 hrs total, but I am a General Contracor. So for the normal home owner maybe a little longer. The only thing that was rediculous to me was in the instructions it showed filing the edges to round them. This is 1.8 inch extruded aluminum! It would take you a week to file it by hand, much less cut it to length. My recomendation is use an angle grinder with a cutting blade to make the rounded corners. Much quciker and your able to knock off all the burrs as well. Dont worry about making it absolutely perfect, just a flush fit to the wall and tub. If there is a bit of a gap against the wall or tub or in the radius, no worries. At the end of installation you are to silicone the entire ouside and inside of the tub frame. I used clear and it blended right in. All the other instructions are spot on, but trust me the grinder is the way to go, skip the hand file.

I decided on these after it was suggested that clear glass would make the bathroom appear larger, whereas opaque doors would seem like a wall. I guess that's true to a certain extent, but either way I love how they look. (Just plan on getting a squeegee because any water spots will be very noticeable.) The term "frameless" is a bit misleading. The sliding glass doors do have top and bottom frames, but none on the sides. So that's four fewer places for mildew to form. Two minor con's: I'm six-two, so I would've preferred the same model in a taller size. And I would've liked a polished chrome finish frame instead of "silver" (which looks more like brushed aluminum) although the handles/towel bars do have a nice chrome appearance.
