This beautiful sink was well packaged and arrived in good order. It is super light weight which makes it easy to handle for installation. The sink it replaced was much smaller so we needed to customize the opening for this sink. Most of the reviews I read complained about how hard it was to level this sink with the hardware provided. We did not have that problem. Maybe because we customized the hole it was going into. Like any other deep bowl sink, it is a little more difficult to install the faucet. Best to do it before installing the sink if you can. This sink is very basic and does not come with any strainer assemblies. Time will tell how the finish lasts.

We upgraded our sink from a 6" deep sink to the 8" sink which is a nice upgrade. Once installed this sink look pretty clean and amazing.
To make removal of the old sink and installation of the new sink easier I just removed the old sink, drains, disposal and faucet as 1 complete piece and swapped them over to the new sink and installed as 1 complete piece. If you are going from a shallow sink to a deeper sink, you will need to shorten your p-trap plumbing. also keep in mind that this does not come with drains or gaskets of any kind so make sure to pick up some plumbers putty to prevent leaks.
The install was a little difficult with this sink which is why I'm only giving this 3 stars. the edges of the sink are rolled under to create a lip for the mounting brackets to attach to. these edges are not flush and created a little bit of an issue getting the sink to sit flat to the counter. I had to strategically place the mounts in all the high spots to get the sink to be seated down in the best possibly position. To be fair the only thing that made the install particularly difficult was the mounting clamps. in some areas it was almost impossible to tighten the nut on the bolt due to the confined space under the sink. I would suggest finding a swivel headed box-end-wrench or you will have a tough time installing this sink. especially along the front edge of the sink where the spacing may only be 3-4 inches max.
after everything was tightened down there was still some small gaps along the edge of the sink, so you just apply some silicone caulk to seal everything up and your done. I used clear.
overall it's a great product, just the clamps are a bit of an nightmare

I was totally taken aback at the beauty of this sink. It is made strong and not a flimsy like some other models and it is very easy to install in a new construction. In an existing construction you might have to make some modifications in the attachment points. This sink uses a new technology of attaching the sink so it stays in place. There is a metal rim under the sink and the sink attachment brackets slide into this rim then using a deep well socket you tighten the nut down and the claw that holds it in place grabs the edge to stabilize the sink in the opening. In a new construction you can build the opening to specs to accommodate the new clips. In the existing build, you have to add or remove attachment points to accommodate the new clips. It is still a great sink. The install in the renovation was a bit timelier than I expected due to attachment points and the small space to work in under the sink. The plumbing was no problem all I did was cut the drain pipes to fit the new depth of the sink. For the money it is a really great sink. I love the depth and the sturdy construction. Beautiful sink to complement any kitchen.

This is a classic looking stainless steel sink from Sterling, a Kohler company. It's a medium weight, nice and sturdy but not too heavy. I like the position of the 4 pre-drilled holes for my faucet bleed valve, RO system, and soap dispenser. The only thing that was difficult about installation was attaching the clips underneath the sink to secure it in place. They are secured with little hex nuts--I like the ones on my old sink better, which were tightened/loosened with a flat-head screwdriver. Anything to make working under the sink easier is appreciated.

What a beautiful, wonderful change!!! Seriously, our old sink was just 5 years old, and it looks more like 50 years old. This time we went with Kohler as we know Kohler products and appreciate the quality. The wildest surprise was the ambience of the sink in kitchen lighting. It looks like we spent a fortune to make the sink glow, but simply did nothing. The Kohler faucet really accents the sink as well.
The packing for the sink was the first thing to catch my eye. Very well packed with cardboard protection within the cardboard box, and the entire top of the sink was shrink wrapped for protection. The photos I've included were with light cleaning after the install, and the silicone sealant was not yet removed after the install. I included that in the photos to show how simple and virtually next to nothing for cleaning after the install. Took just a couple minutes to rub the excess silicone off the front edge, the day after install.
It's a very practical sink, and the care Kohler put into the pride of packing the sink says a lot to me. I liked the mounted supports too as it allows for a good 1-1/2 inch of counter if needed. They are very easy to install, and I used a ratchet, 8 inch extension and deep well socket for the install of the supports. I remember the install of the old sink five years ago and it made me angry how tough it was to draw the sink up tight to the counter. I've included a photo of the pathetic wear and perma stains of our old sink.
