After installation, the door keeps coming off the track. After re-alignment, it still keeps coming off the track.

I have yet to figure out why these shower doors are so expensive. The Vista Pivot II is one of the more reasonably-priced models, but still too much money for what it is.
Installation isn't too bad. There are more parts than I expected (this is the first pivot door I've installed - others have been bypass tub doors). All diagrams in the instructions are for a right pivot, so be prepared to mentally reverse everything if you have a left pivot. Sounds simple but the diagrams also alternate between inside-the-shower and outside-the-shower perspective, and it's easy to get things backwards.
The glass is on the thin side and has a tendency to vibrate when opening the door. The magnetic strip is attached by a couple of crimp spots top and bottom and made a very loud, persistent vibration noise when opening the door. This was easily cured by running a very thin bead of silicone down the length of the magnet to prevent movement.
Overall, not a bad choice, and it looks decent when installed.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ch4bs Parts received damaged
Two major components were received damaged. Had to contact the supplier to have them replaced. They were very helpful except they do not have parts in stock and need to order them. They advised it would take 2/4 weeks to get them. Seems like a long time to replace standard parts. I have no choice but to wait for them.

Directions included with the unit differed from the manufacturer on-line instructions. This replaced a fifteen year old similar model, so I had a good idea how to put it together, others could find it confusing.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JohnD Great customer service from Kohler
This is the second time for me installing this product. The first time was about 15 years ago, but now my bright brass bathroom is being updated with brushed nickel. Installation did not go that well because I broke the fixed panel. Kohler was happy to send me a replacement panel at no charge even though I believe myself at fault. The installation instructions could use some improvement. One problem with them is that all the illustrations are for a right pivot only. I was installing the door with a left pivot - so you have to turn the illustrations around in your head. Some tips: 1) Don't trust their instructions on installation of the upper pivot piece - or your interpretation of the instructions. Line it up and measure to see if it matches the bottom pivot hole. If it doesn't you have it installed backwards. 2) Place masking tape over the threshold piece to protect it from scratching during the installation of the door. The door needs to be tilted into place and it is easy to scratch the threshold. An assistant could also come in handy at this point. 3) Wear gloves and safety googles or glasses. I was holding the fixed panel when it shattered and glass went everywhere. Even safety glass can cut, and I can't imagine how bad it would be in the eyes.
Overall, this shower door in the tangle design looks great! Kohler customer service is excellent.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sal37 Does the job, but many limitations
The product was delivered several days late beyond the time frame that was given. Finally picked it up from the store. Box was intact and had no visible damages. Unpacked the door at home, there were long visible scratches on one of the glass panels, there were scratches on the metal frame of the door itself, the gasket of the door was not installed properly and was sticking out in one corner, one of the metal pieces for the frame was slightly bent. Did not want to go through lengthy exchange since I was already far behind my set project deadline, decided to install the door despite all the problems listed.
The instructional video of the manufacturer shows installation in 30 minutes or so. It took me two days with properly preparing the surfaces and properly caulking the areas that needed to be caulked. You need to caulk in two stages - otherwise, if you don't let the caulk dry, it might not be watertight. The scratches on the glass panel were on the inside, so I did not do anything about them. The door's gasket was not fixable, what I did was I caulked with clear caulk around the perimeter of the door, right above the original gasket (that worked, door completely watertight). I bent the bent metal pieces back into place at good as possible, could not do anything about the scratches on the door.
One important piece of information: The door is pretty short in my eyes. I'm 5'10 and would hit my head on the cross bar if I would not duck entering and exiting the shower. It also seems like water might splash over. The door should have been at least 10 inches longer.
Overall it does the job if you put extra effort in to make it work. The quality of the door and the time it took to install it and get it actually watertight was extremely disappointing. I would definitely not buy it again and I would not recommend it to a friend.
