is it waterproof for below grade positive side application on poured concrete basements?
Asked by: roe
Hello, No. While our Tuff II product is water resistant, it is not water proof. It can handle the exposure to water, but will not prevent water penetration in areas with standing or pooling water, or with excess run off.

We decided to apply this around the outside of our basement over old chipping stucco. After digging down and removing as much of the old stuff as we could, we started applying. With some spots still having the old stucco still on it, I was dealing with a very uneven surface. It was very easy to apply and fill in the areas that was uneven. It was a very short dry time before we could fill it back in. Dried rock hard. This was my first time ever applying something like this and it was so simple to learn

Applied straight to small sections with 4 inch mud knife. In larger 1 foot x 10 foot sections used galvanized mesh screwed to foam as a backer. Goes on easy, dries to a nice dark grey color. No issues. Ordered online, delivered to local home depot, showed up 5 days earlier than forecast. Homeowner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Product I used for my block foundation, and block chimney. Once I got the hang of spreading the coating, it went on fast and easy. I would recommend and use again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Stuff I just keep saying to myself, 'Man, this stuff is tuff.' And then I laugh because that is its name. When you first apply this, you think it won't set up as strong as it does. The warnings about not applying in direct sunlight are no doubt because it begins to set up quickly and then you end up messing up the partially set up area. You'll see...it isn't all that big a deal, but hot sun doesn't give you much time to work. Unless you are going to apply it at night, you will end up experiencing this. The product is fantastic. It becomes almost flexible concrete. It is difficult to get it off your tools, but who cares.
