Answer:
The production description says "Rigid foam insulation panels add an R value of 5 per in. thickness of the panel". These are 1 inch thick, so it would have an R-Value of 5.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product these panels arrived and were exactly what was described. Simple to glue to wood and concrete block, the panels were as easy to cut as drywall, I called the manufacturer to make sure they could be painted, and I did get a call back quickly to inform me that as long as quality paint was used, then yes, they could be painted. I got the gray 1" panels to use around my old part of my now year round cottage, cover the TI-11 with metal flashing contacting with the ground. they look great and all my neighbors are commenting. Several Island contractors are now looking at these to use when replacing rotted wood that is in contact with the ground. I did try using a weed whacker near it, and hit it several times, but it held up fine. I did use foam adhesive to attach, and caulking between panels. I used white latex caulk with silicone so I could paint it. So I used 2' tall x 4' long x 1" deep and then cut another 2' tall into 2 -1' tall x 4 and then buried the 1' in the ground. June 20, 2014
