19 in. 1500-Watt Compact Infrared Fireplace Electric Portable Heater - Espresso is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small, but works great in our Kitchen and Dining area. Nice and warm. We have an open kitchen/dining area with a vaulted ceiling and a patio door and it is open to the living room. We previously had a honey-well forced air heater in this space. If it was pointed at you, you could stay comfortable. But this infrared fireplace works much better. It won't heat the whole space, we still use the furnace, but it does a fantastic job at making the kitchen/dining area much warmer and more comfortable. We got this on a big sale, so it is an excellent value and deal to us. I would recommend this to my family and friends. I took one star away due to features. My mother-in-law has a similar one that has push button controls and a remote. This one has 3 switches, Power, Medium Heat, and High heat. The switches are upside down. Meaning to turn the unit on, you push them down instead of up. No biggie, but seems silly. The other thing is that the fan turns on automatically after a minute, when it gets warmed up. But you cannot turn the whole unit off and walk away. You have to turn the two heater switches off, and leave the Power/fireplace light switch on until the unit cools enough to have the fan automatically shut off. It would be much nicer to be able to shut it down and walk away and have the fan stop automatically. Most other heaters I've had do this, including my mother-in-law's unit. I suppose you could shut it all off, but that would probably shorten the life of the unit, and the instructions tell you not to shut the power off until the fan stops. So overall, nice and comfortably warm for a larger area. Small and compact to sit in between the kitchen and dining area. Some wonky controls that could be better. But I like it and I'll keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An attractive little heater. Compared to other small heaters like this, this one adds both ambiance and good looks to any room. I personally would prefer a choice in the shade of brown, but the quality is excellent. Even though it doesn't have a thermostat, It doesn't overheat at all, so one is not necessary. I don't notice much difference in the two heat settings, but can tell the difference in temperature from one room to the next. Being on rollers makes it very portable and easy to move around, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. Heats well, quiet, looks nice. I have this in an 11' x 15' room. It heats it plenty even on the low setting. There is a low, high, and "light" only setting. This way you can have the flame effect without the heat, or two heat settings. You can adjust the brightness of the flame effect light, so if you want the heat on, but no fire light, you can turn the light off. On the high setting it will keep the room hotter that you would ever need it. It has a real nice wood finish that looks nice. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! This heater is the first one of it's kind I ever purchased and it works great. To early to tell what the effect is on my electric bill but I have been using it in my finished rec room and turned the heat off in that room which is at least 1,000 sq feet. I have oil heat which is at an all time high.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job. Smaller than I expected. Pay attention to the measurements. Does a good job. I will say that I love watching the fire optics. Look real.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the fireplace, except for flaw in instructions. I ordered this product sight-unseen, and am happy with it, except for one detail: The item includes three switches, one "Master" and two "Heat," one of which turns on a 1000-Watt heater and the other an additional 500 Watts. The instructions say to turn off all three at once when you're finished using it, but that action removes power from everything. The instructions also say that the fan will continue to operate for as much as 2-1/2 minutes after power-off [presumably to cool-down the heater(s)]. I found that this can ONLY happen if you leave the "Master" switch on, and turn it off after the fan stops. Otherwise, you shut off the heater(s) with no cool-down [presumably shortening their lives]. I called Customer Service and was told that the instructions were in error. That means I can't just turn off everything and leave the room - I have to leave the "Master" on and wait. This also keeps the "flame" lighting on longer than I intend [presumably shortening ITS life, especially if I DO leave, and forget to turn it off after the fan stops]. A nice little unit, except for the inconvenience.
