It looks pretty light in the first few photos, then the last photo looks darker. I am not looking for something really light as we have kids.

Is this rug heavy enough to stay in place on hardwood floors? Do I need to buy a pad? What is the best for holding the rug or any rug in place on the hardwood without damage?

Hello. This rug is 46.46 pounds. It does have a jute/polyester/cotton backing, however we recommend using a rug pad to avoid shifting and sliding. Thank you.

Well, let me tell you, I hemmed and hawed, so to speak, for days about buying this rug. I am SO glad i went with it. It is just gorgeous, and looks so much more expensive than it is. It rolled right out onto my living room floor. It did, at first, have some wrinkles in it, and I thought, oh no, it has to go back, but after sitting for just a short time, it was all smoothed out and looking fantastic! It even bounces right back after furniture sits on it. For example, we have one of those coffee tables that come up so that we can eat on it in front of the tv, so we move it towards us and away from us every time. No matter how long the table sits in one spot, the shag on the rug will come right back with just a rub over from my foot. There are no indentation marks. I will definitely be purchasing at least one more like this, if not a few more. You cannot beat the price or quality. My 4 shih tzu love it too, lol. You can see Suki's head in the picture:) It is nice and thick, and it vacuums well, and I use my steam mop on it every day. Thank you Home Depot!!!

I ordered this as a replacement for a darker rug and I really like it. I was concerned that there were no samples, but took a chance and ordered. I already knew the size I needed.and when it arrived It fit perfectly. It has a nice soft high pile and the colors are a varied light beige and cream. I have already recommended it to several clients. The price was incredible, so much so that I was afraid of the quality, but was not disappointed. Delivery was fast and left at my front door.
PS, the dog loves it too.

Very happy with the look, feel and quality of this rug. It has been in our home for a few months and it is holding up great.
We originally chose the Taupe rug, but that was a little too gray for our taste. The beige is exactly what we wanted.
