Does not work as well to kill wasps and had to get closer than the mint spray.
Problem is always that once a good product is out for the consumer someone has to ruin it because they know nothing about environmental safe meanings.

This wasp spray is fabulous and I was so excited to find it at Home Depot.
I cannot use any pesticides and we had a bad hot summer with lots of wasps this year. This spray takes them out fast and doesn't send me to the Dr. with respiratory issues!

Have used the mint Wasp and Hornet spray for years. Apparently this is the replacement. While it does the job, we do not feel it kills as instantly as the mint spray did. It will bring the critter down, but then you do have to swat it quickly before it recovers to send it on to its Maker. Still this seems to be the best alternative to harsh chemicals on the market.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by granny I like the distance it shoots.
I have beams that are 15 feet above and can spray the spiders, etrc. that lay their eggs up there. I like it. The smell is good. .I don't want to be put on a dozen or more e-mail lists.

I have been using Safer brand insecticidal soap for a couple of seasons, and I love it. It qualifies for organic gardening, and it is very effective against nematode squash bugs..something I appreciate. Based on that, I tried the Wasp and Hornet Killer. It sprayed about 12 feet, and demolished a small nest of paper wasps that had built their digs on the handle of my yardie. Very happy with the product. I bought three cans and have 2 left. Will buy again when those run out.

I used the "Victor" brand wasp spray years ago - bought it at a local store and it worked well. After a time, I could no longer find it, so I tried other brands of "natural" wasp spays and none of them were as effective. They usually killed some or all of the wasps, but not as well as Victor did and, very important when you are trying to kill things that can sting you, the stream was not a strong, so I had to get closer to the nest.
So I GOOgled for Victor and found that, basically, the company's wasp spray is now marketed under Safer Brand. And it is reformulated. I ordered 3 cans because it's a much better deal than ordering one, and had the opportunity to use it on a few fairly "mature" wasp nests in our house and garage eaves shortly thereafter. It worked GREAT. It kills the wasps within minutes. They all drop away if you spray enough on them. And the stream is very strong. I could actually stand as far as I could get, given the location of the nests, and it sprayed in a strong, steady stream. I can't emphasise how important this is.
The one thing I liked better about the old formula was the smell. It was mint based and the new formula is not. But it doesn't smell bad.
I recommend Safer Brand Wasp & Hornet Killer, and I recommend you get the 3 can package. Because it is a better deal, and because you can go through a can fairly quickly if you have more than one or two nests. And I like always having extra on hand.

I've been using this for a couple of years now. While it does not have the range or instant knock-down of the big name brands, I'm more comfortable using this rather than the nerve agents like Raid, etc. as I have grand-kids playing in the yard.
