Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Safety rail This rail is good for elderly and people recovering from surgery to be able to use showers and tubs independently July 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great bargain I was in the market for ADA approved grab bars for our bathroom to be used by our disabled son and us as we get older. I received an internet sale from Home Depot on the very items I was looking for and was so thankful that I could purchase all three of these nice, clean looking safe grab bars, knowing that they may be the very item which saves injury in the future. thanks for the sale. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I STOLE these! WOW! I thought this deal of the day was a typo, so I was quick to take advantage of it! Sent some bars to my older mom for use in the bathroom, and sent some to myself to help me up some stairs and to use as coat hangers in my warehouse. They were like 90% off! Great quality! I watch my daily Home Depot emails like a hawk now! July 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect grab bar for small areas Very nice grab bar in a shorter length. It has a very nice finish and would accent any decor. August 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product especially for the price excellent product, very sturdy, nice looking and functions as expected August 6, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Was unable to mount. Was unable to mount on an older (40+ year old) tub surround because it might crack it. June 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install and very strong with nice finish I needed a grab rail for the lower stairs in my bi-level house for my Mother-in-Law with a bad knee. She loves this rail and feels secure climbing up and down the stairs again. It was easy to install. I would highly recommend you get this model with the concealed fasteners since I was only able to put 2 screws on each end into the studs, and this way the extra holes are covered and it looks good. Two screws on each end into the studs are more than adequate for a secure installation. April 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy grab bar I installed the grab bar on a tiled bath tub wall. I did not use the stainless screws since my fastners (molly bolts) were used on a hollow wall. If you use screws into a stud, just make pilot holes and you will have no problem. I do not recommend brass screws- they are softer than stainless steel screws. If you want a super sturdy attachment on a hollow wall use wingits (google this). If you are drilling into tile, it is worth the money to buy a drill bit made to drill through tile- not an ordinary masonary bit. Mark your holes using the grab bar plate as a template but start the holes about 1/4 inch in toward the center if you are using molly bolts. Otherwise the holes may go beyond the cover plate. Note- for molly bolts you will need a large enough hole to fit the molly bolt into the wall. December 25, 2010
