Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by thenotoriousmeg Good price for a counter-depth style refrigerator
I bought this when renovating my small NYC galley kitchen, and it fits perfectly. Can't imagine needing more space, but the freezer drawer might be small for a large family or anyone who needs a lot of space for the freezer. Got the platinum color as stainless was backordered but really like it and it fits well with other stainless steel appliances. Only annoyance is the door alarm that goes off if you leave the doors open too long, but that's common with modern fridges and the sound is not too loud. Would also like an egg holder but there are lots of shelves in the door that I can put a half carton into.
Overall, great buy for a french door, counter depth fridge well under the cost of others!

If you're looking for an affordable counter depth this is one of the only fridges in the game. Fortunately it's a great fridge! I also DIDN'T want ice or water- just one more thing to break. It's functioned perfectly, it's cute looking and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the platinum finish. I don't know why every single appliance isn't made with this stuff. It looks like brushed nickel, so it's very similar to stainless steel but better, and you can't leave a finger print on it if you tried.
It did initially make some noises, but they stopped and never had a single problem. The ONLY thing I find a little annoying is that the doors take a little extra shove to close. But it does have a door alarm to let you know you need to close it.

Have had this fridge for 2.5 years now, and loved it at first. But after about a year, water started collecting in the crisper drawers and freezing. I now have to remove the water daily and can only store things in plastic containers since the water and ice damage any vegetables you put into the crisper drawers. It is a KNOWN problem for Samsung, but they are doing nothing to fix the problem. Lots more info about the problem on applianceblog.com. I would never recommend this fridge and will avoid Samsung products in the future.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jnd921 Happy with this purchase.
Pros: Great fit, beautiful finish, and great price.
Cons: Small storage space, lack of customizing shelves, hard to organize the deep drawer.
Overall I am happy with the purchase. The cons just seem to go hand in hand with having to buy a counter depth fridge.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Veronica Fits my needs
It was time I replaced my loud side-by-side 20 year old fridge. Because I live in an apartment, I had very, very limited selection to choose from that would fit my space and my criteria. Counter depth was necessary, and as I was hoping for a 20cu fridge like my old one, unfortunately, the 20cu version of this fridge was too wide. The fridge looks more massive than my old side-by-side, but it still fits snugly and doesn't stick out too much from the counter, I think because the plug fits well and only needs about an inch of space in the back.
The bonuses for me:
1) Platinum finish - still has that stainless steel look that seems popular these days, but it's magnetic, which is extra bonus points because I love my magnets and couldn't bear to get rid of them. And with this finish, it leaves no smudges or fingerprints as others have mentioned.
2) There is an internal ice dispenser, but as I don't have a water line, I have no need for it, so I can turn it off. And even more thankful, no water dispenser to waste precious fridge space.
The one con is that the fridge actually is a little louder than expected. By no means it is obnoxiously loud, but when it's running cool, I hear what sounds like dripping water, which confuses me even without a water line and the ice maker turned off. Internal space is also a concern for me, but so far, I haven't overloaded my fridge yet.
Also, I'm not sure if my old freezer settings were not normal, but the default temp of -2*f for the freezer makes all my frozen foods blocks of ice. Ice cream is much harder to scoop, and my cold compresses are completely stiff. I've increased the temperature to remedy that.

Most people dont need this fridge. Most counterdepth fridges are 36" wide, and most 33" wide fridges are full depth. If you are looking for a 33" wide counter depth, your options are extremely limited. Fortunately I can live with the compromises. As other reviews point out, shelves have limited adjustability and anything tall needs to go in the doors, but you learn to get used to that quickly. Space is a little less than some other fridges, but that allowed me to throw away some very old condiments. I actually appreciate the shallow depth. Everything is easy to see and reach. I'm sold on french door as well, after years of bending over to find things in a freezer-top style. In general the fridge is easy to use, looks good/clean, relatively quiet and the Icemaker works very well. If you dont have space constraints you can do better, but given the lack of options at this size, I think the compromises are certainly liveable. Also I recommend the satin finish. It looks similar to stainless steel and is much more smudge resistant. Unless you have it right next to another stainless appliance it would be hard to notice. It's also a little less expensive to boot.
