Rated 2.0 out of 5.0Â by Shaktia Nice refrigeraor except 2 major flaws
Overall I do like the counter depth refrigerator except for what I perceive as 2 design flaws. 1) Most refrigerators pull air in from the back and exhaust the heated air at bottom front. This refrigerator does the opposite. It pulls fresh air in from the bottom front and exhausts it from the back. Now since the required distance from the back of the refrigerator to the wall is a minimum of 2 inches. That is really hot air that has to travel up the back of the refrigerator which heats up the back of the refrigerator (less efficient for heat dissipation causing the back to heat up from the exhaust). The major design flaw is that you cannot even open the refrigerator fresh or vegetable drawer half way open if the refrigerator side wall is on the side of a wall where you can only open the refrigerator door 90 degrees With the refrigerator door open 90 degrees the drawers hit the refrigerator door when you open the drawers less than halfway. Now I think I know why the store did not have a floor sample to inspect.

Extremely happy with it! Looks great in our kitchen. The counter depth makes it look like we have a larger kitchen.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by GADU Second Samsung Refrigerator I Purchased in 2 Year for Two Different Homes
Purchased a second almost identical counter depth refrigerator for a new home -- the previous one was purchased 2 years ago for a home we are selling. This model has excellent performance in terms of temperature control and energy efficiency -- in both the freezer and refrigerator sections. The new refrigerator has an improved icemaker -- more efficient cube production and easier to remove from freezer -- otherwise both units are essentially the same. Will only suggest one minor improvement -- need more flexibility to adjust the distance between the refrigerator shelves. Given the performance and features, the price of the refrigerator is comparable or slightly better than for counter top depth refrigerators of other leading brands.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by florie The features do not live up to what I would expect from a Samsung product
!: The draws are terribly designed. Try getting a head of lettuce, Broccoli or Califlower into anyone of these draws.
2: The ice maker is very load during the period of making ice.
3: The shelving design restricts the area where tall bottles such as Soda and Milk are stored.
4: The placement of the Labeling should not be put on the Stanlees Steel Doors. They hard to remove and leave marks that are extremely hard to remove.
5: An option should be available to have the side panels made with the same S/S as the doors. This model can not be used as a free standing item.

The power consumption is high. The space provided is not adequate considering that it occupies so much of volume in our house. However the freeze has a sleek design and looks attractive, which is why we purchased that.
