This is day one of the next 14 reviews I will make about this product. I promised Samsung one poor review for everyday I am without a refrigerator so here we go!
Lets start with the good: Exterior easy to clean. Large door pockets and interior also easy to clean.
Now the bad: Mother board heats up and destroys itself, causing the fridge to have a mind of its own. Mine likes to turn itself to "demo mode" which essentially shuts off the cooling. I have had to reset it myself several times because of this and it is aggravating to know it might do it while you are on vacation and you will return to spoiled food and a nasty mess to clean.
My unit is 10 months old. It makes "cricket" noises when the weather warms up outside. The icemaker tends to give crushed and cubed at the same time and there is no collection device so the particles of ice end up on the floor if you don't keep cup under spout for extended period of time.
WHEN this unit was working, it kept the food at a perfect temperature, no complaints there.
Here is the worst part of all of this. I will be without any type of refrigeration for 3 weeks. Samsung does not care and will not replace your product until it has had at least two repair attempts. According to their "executive customer relations dept", they are sorry that their product is not functional. They are also very sorry that you will be without any refrigeration for 3 weeks but there is nothing they can do to help you.
I requested a loaner fridge so that my family could have food in the house but again, they have never heard of anything like that and will not be able to supply the request at this time and are very sorry for the inconvenience.
If you want a good product with excellent customer service, buy a Maytag product. I have never had issues with their repair service and shame on me for trying something different and purchasing a Samsung product!
I am sure there are those out there that have this or a similar product and it works great, for that I am glad. However, if you are considering buying a refrigerator from them I would highly encourage you to shop around at other brands. If Samsung is unwilling to stand behind their products and take care of their customers then why would you want to even consider it?

The door handle is very lose and the man who installed it could not fix it he said it is just how it comes. I cannot get a hold of anyone to fix it. We read that it is a very quiet refrigerator but in fact it makes a loud humming sound all the time, still trying to get a hold of someone to fix this, but no phone calls or emails have been returned. Came dented the first time and then the second time it has a small dent.
