Bought this fridge in December, it is now March and its working great. Love all the room and love the pull out freezer more than I thought I would. Love that it has a door alarm so that I don't leave the door open on accident. BUT.....we bought this in platinum-i loved that option-it is the reason we went with this fridge. We have a toddler at home and I knew that with the stainless I would be constantly cleaning the outside for finger prints and smudges. And I can use magnets on it. I have loved the features of the platinum but recently our dishwasher has died on us and samsung doesn't offer any other appliances in the platinum!! I was really really disappointed in this! The platinum is a little darker and less shiny than regular stainless and I wanted all of my appliances to match! Anyway, I love this fridge but I'm very disappointed with Samsung!

I'm very pleased with the refrigerator. It performs well. A bit noisier than my previous unit (12-years old} but its not too overly loud. I like the LED lights. I like the pantry drawer with temp adjustment. Water filter is easy to get to. Ice making is ok if you need a little bit of ice here and there. The ice holder is a little bit small. We use a lot of ice daily, but Samsung is not to blame for that. Home Depot disappointed me though. The delivery guys could not hookup water line due to different size hookups. Home Depot did not know what fittings were needed. Samsung said i needed a "conversion kit" Home Depot had no idea what a conversion kit was. They said they never heard of a "conversion kit." I finally had to hire a plumber to hookup. I blame Home Depot for not knowing what they're doing. And not informing the customer they WILL need a plumber for water line hookups. Other than the Home Depot ignorance, the refrigerator is performing well and meets my expectations.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Good Fridge but BEWARE if Home Depot installers remove doors!!!!!
Unit was installed and worked for about an hour. Then the interior lights went out and an alarm sounded. It would not cool down even though it was put on power cool settings. Samsung blamed installer, but.Samsung cust service didn't know how to help or diagnose using error codes. Home Depot Installation department blamed Samsung and didn't want anything to do with it once installers were gone. Home Depot store also said it was Samsung's problem. My wife was on the phone with all 3 parties for 6 hours. I got home and noticed an extra part on the shelves!. Samsung was right about the installers, but it is also their fault for the poor instructions for door removal. The installers broke apart the electrical connectors to the door when they tried to unplug it.. The refrigerator worked for a while and stopped working when the connection vibrated apart. They had also re-run the wires and water line in a way that caused binding when the door moved. That was another easy mistake to make. They also broke the plastic clip off of the top hinge cover. The extra part I found inside was the door hing retainer clip, so we are lucky the door didn't fall off on my wife. I also found another broken plastic tab inside the pantry drawer, which was itself difficult to open. I never found where that was broken off of, but I noticed that the entire shelf that holds the drawer was mounted wrong. It was about an inch higher in the back than in the front. The oversimplified instructions on how to remove that shelf did not apply because the water filter housing is attached to it, but I eventually got the shelf in the right place. The pantry drawer works better but I don't know what I'll do if anything ever gets spilled and I want to remove that bottom shelf to clean it or underneath it.
If I had removed the doors, it is quite possible that I too would have broken the connector - it is difficult to figure out how to work the quick release. I would however expect installers to know how to perform these basic tasks. I was able to re-make the connection using electrical tape to hold it in place and the fridge works now. (They finally agreed to send a repair tech, but it was going to be a week, so I began to explore the problems. A week later, no service call or contact from them. We never cancelled the request. As far as they know our fridge still doesn't work.)
About the fridge... Is seems o.k. the lighting is not great on the middle shelves. The door shelves are difficult to remove once installed and the tall front wall makes it difficult to remove jars / bottles unless you have a lot of space above them, so we ended up removing one of the shelves. Too bad because it would be nice to have more than one shelf for gallons of milk and oj. There is not a lot of room for tall items. I have had the fridge over a week and I still think someone is using power tools in the garage when the compressor starts up. I'll get used to that soon enough, it just doesn't sound like any fridge I've had before. The temperature settting is accurate and it reads both "set at" and then actual. Seems like a few mistakes were made in the design, but nothing too serious. Besides not being installer friendly, one thing that bugs me is that the light switch for the water dispenser requires a 3 second hold and wait on the same button that also turns a "door open" alarm on and off. Those functions should have been reversed. On our previous fridge that light was often used as a temporary night light. The large pantry drawer only comes out if both doors are opened completely because of the shelf placement. Overall, seems like a good fridge with poor cust service and a few amateur design elements. But IF the doors must be removed to get it in your house, BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE! I have to go paint my front door now, they put a couple small gashes in it. By the way, the key to the error codes is on a sticker on the rear of the fridge. You might want to let Samsung cust service know that if you need to call them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Erin Everything I expected!
I'm so glad we decided on this Samsung fridge!! It is everything I expected, and more!! The space is unbelievable, and the lighting is great! I can actually see everything in my fridge! I purchased the platinum color and so far, no toddler prints visible! Like some reviewers stated, every once in awhile you can hear the water line (creating ice or whatever), but it's certainly not anything that would keep me from purchasing this fridge. You will not be disappointed if you choose to purchase this fridge!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Maverick Samsung 25.6 cu.ft. Review - Model# RF263BEAESP
At the time of writing this review, I have had the refrigerator for a month. So far everything seems to be working fine. Here are review points I want to highlight.
1. I originally wanted to get a Stainless Steel finish but settled for the Platinum finish since the wait time for the S.S. was more than a month. However, after getting the refrigerator, I don't see any difference between the "Platinum" finish and other Stainless Steel appliances I have in the house. It blends very well with other appliances. I cannot make out a difference (and I'm sure I have good eyesight)
2. Operation is smooth. Once in a while, if I am close enough to the refrigerator, I can hear the sound of the compression whirring. In my opinion, this is normal operation.
3. Water filter works well. The water has a crisp clean taste so no complaints about that.
4. The placement of the trays internally does not make it easy to place tall bottles (ketchup bottles, etc.). One of the racks can be folded up to get space. I'd rather use the space for other items, so I just keep such bottles horizontally on the rack. It doesn't bother me.
5. Ice dispenser could work faster but again, this is similar to all other refrigerators. You have to wait a while if you're trying to get a lot of ice out. I wish the water/ice dispenser tray was bigger so that I can keep a glass unsupported on it. (Not a big deal).
Perhaps this is not the best refrigerator considering features available in other refrigerators (auto ill, etc.) but it is still a good buy for the price. I am happy with it. For a month's use, it is working fine. I hope it stays so for years to come.

This is a great product. I searched for a month to get the right one and I love it. The ice maker does spit a bit but not more than my 10 year old one did. It has so much room it seems empty with the same food my old one had.
