We've had this fridge for 2.5 years. We thought we did an adequate amount of research and made the best choice. We did not. 2 of the shelves have broken and fallen off the door. The ice make recently stopped working altogether. About a year ago the ice maker stopped differentiating between cubed and crushed ice, and it ran out of ice all the time. We paid more money for bells and whistles that just don't work at all. I regret this purchase sooooo much.

This impressive looking and expensive fridge has plagued us with troubles from the minute it came into our kitchen!! The main problem with this unit is the ice maker. When you dispense ice a lot of water leaks into the cup first. The icemaker is always icing up around the insides of the unit. Ice also collects around the fan of the icemaker creating a jackhammer noise whereby the only fix is to unload your entire refrigerator and freezer and unplug it and dethaw it every six months. Avoid this refrigerator like the plague unless you just like throwing money away!

My daughter and I both have this model. We both have issues with water accumulating in the bottom under the crisper tray. I think the design line is clogged. Google this model and water issues and you will find many hits.

We had a little problem with a dent in the door Got a new door and a discount for our trouble. Icemaker is very good. Always have enough ice compared to our last GE Nice and quiet.

LOVE the look and style of this fridge, but hate the functionality and the design flaws. We've had this fridge for two years now and I seriously wish we had the money to scrap this fridge and go with something else. If you like cubed ice, forget about it. No matter what the control is set for, no matter how may times you try and adjust the ice basket, you're going to get a mix of both cubed and crushed ice. And no matter how full the ice basket is, it's going to push the ice out very slowly. Not to mention that every couple of months the ice maker will completely ice over and have to be thawed out with a hair dryer before it will start making ice again. Another design flaw is that the drain line for draining away the defrost water freezes up thus not draining the water away. Instead it deposits all the defrost water underneath the deli tray. Hope you won't mind pulling out the deli tray and cleaning that mess up periodically. And speaking of the deli tray, the rollers are very flimsy and it tends to go wonky and get stuck when you pull it out. Many people online have also complained about a noisy compressor, but thankfully we have not had that issue. Perhaps it's just a matter of time? Who knows. But what I do know is that I would not recommend this refrigerator and probably will never buy another Samsung appliance based on my experience with this fridge. I love the look of it but am seriously longing for the day when we can get rid of it.

This was supoose to be my dream refrigerator.It has not worked since first day.It was delivered on july 22 and its on backorder for replacement until august 10th! I have a new house three children and no refrigerator.Home Depot patches me thru to Samsung.I bought it from Home Depot and they should be the ones fixing this issue .Changed my mind on buying the washer and dryer by Samsung..This has been the worst buying experience Ice ever had.

Cons: Much louder than the 15 year old Kenmore that it replaced. Ice maker is slow to dispense. Doesn't seem to close all of the way sometimes.

Not specific to this product, but hope that you do not have any problems with it because Samsung support is terrible. The delivery guys dented the front of the unit and I've spent over a month trying to have it fixed. I'm on my 6th call where I've been told someone will call me back and they never do. Still waiting...

Bought 2 of these refrigerators for my son's. A few months later we
realized they were both running practically all the time. On
investigation we found that when the right door is closed last, it blows
the left door open about 1/4 inch which exposes the interior of the
refrigerator to outside air, rendering the insulation ineffective.
However, it's not enough to set off the door alarm so you won't know it.
Samsung's warranty servicer for my area, says it's normal for this
model and Samsung will not warranty this problem. My advice: stay away
from this refrigerator unless you love to pay high electric bills. I
wasted $3500 on these. I know I will never buy another Samsung product.
