Hi Susie, in the installation guide http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201511/20151111113837771/installation_DD68-00046A-07_EN_CFR_MES.pdf on page 6, it shows everything that comes with the dishwasher and what else is needed. ^Rosi

Yes but they'd stick in the dispenser often enough that I only use powder dishwasher detergent now. The dispenser would pop open at the correct stage of the wash cycle, but the pods - ANY pods - would sort of melt/adhere to the indentation in the dispenser, and still be there when the entire wash/"dry" process ended. The dispenser would pop open at the correct stage of the wash cycle, but the pods - ANY pods - would sort of melt/adhere to the indentation in the dispenser, and still be there when the entire wash/"dry" process ended. This happened at least 20% of the time, and was really frustrating, and of course wasted water and electricity.
The reason for this may be related to the fact there's no good "dry" cycle, so unless the door, with the dispenser open, has been left open to completely dry out between washes (which yes, is awkward and inconvenient), residual moisture could be acting on the gel pods, almost like glue. Or maybe mine has a small leak in the dispenser, causing the same effect.
If I were to try pods again, I might store them in corn starch to see if that helped with the "sticky" issue in the dispenser, but the store brand powder is cheap and a little DOES go a long way on the "Quick" setting - leaving the dishes clean and well rinsed. Read Less

The hose is not long enough, the Home Depot tech coupled the hose with another. Would this create a problem?

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 509 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Took One Month To Break Only had this one month before the water wouldn't drain. Unfortunately it got worse as Samsung's customer service when I made a service request was inexcusably bad. During the 20 minute follow-up call they wanted me to pull the unit out from underneath the counter, remove the mesh cover in the base of the machine about a dozen screws, all under water at this point, check it for level (after I was to pull it out). I usually love Samsung electronic products, but after this I'm done with them. Buyer beware! October 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my Samsung Dishwasher Ordered online. They called me the day before to let me know that they would be there the next day between 7 and 11 and left a phone number in case I had any questions. I called back to make sure everything would be okay with installing and wiring and was assured everything would be fine. The next day, I received the dishwasher. The delivery guy carried it on his back (box was specifically marked showing that it was not how to carry). Once in the door, he was carrying it in front of him and lost control of it going up the stairs because he was trying to pick it up too high and carry it. He caught it as it was falling backward. Then the other guy came in the house and told me that they don't install. We had to call their office and the woman asked if I still wanted the dishwasher. Duh !! She then had to send a certified technician out three days later to install. I was a little disappointed, especially where I had purposely called the day before to make sure everything would be okay. They said nothing the day before about having to schedule someone else to come out. When the technician came, he noticed a little dent in the cover on the right side of the dishwasher where the spring for the door goes. I told him that it was probably from when the guy almost dropped it down the stairs and had to catch it. I took a picture of it at that point. It doesn't seem to affect the door. The dishwasher is so easy to run. I only use the liquid dishwasher detergent. It is extremely quiet. You actually have to walk up to it and put your ear to it to hear if it is running. The only time it gets a little louder is when it is in the rinse cycle. It makes a whistling sound. I would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this. Other than that, I absolutely LOVE it. I wanted to go basic without all of the bells and whistles....I ended up with just one little whistle LOL !! August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE LOVE LOVE It's only been a couple of months, but so far it has been worth every penny!! Awesome deal & it cleans & dries extremely well! We saved money on the installation by doing it ourselves & it really wasn't complicated at all. December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by not a bad product The dishwasher is very quiet which it great. It also takes less time to clean the dishes than my old one. So far I like the appliance and would recommend it. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Dishwasher It is very quiet and cleans better than the Hotpoint I had before. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So quiet, you don't even know it's on. I love everything about this product. The sleek black design looks awesome with my other black Samsung appliances. I can't get over how quiet it is compared to the last one I owned which sounded like a freight train coming down the track. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dishwasher! So glad to finally have dishwasher again. And were able to get it in black to match the fridge and sink. December 25, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Less than thrilled If a quiet dishwasher is what you're looking for, I really don't think you can do better. It's amazingly quiet. But, then again, the broken dishwasher this one replaced was absolutely silent! Obviously, I mean to say that quiet does not complete my list for quality functionality. I've only used it three so far, but each time there was significant water left on dishes and flatware. I'm going to try a rinsing agent to see if that helps, but I think that perhaps the drying cycle is underpowered. Other than that, the capacity seems reduced compared to the old one due to rack design. See below for a pic of the door with condensation remaining... December 23, 2014
