Without a doubt, one of my best appliance purchases! The fridge is large so make sure you measure your space before falling in love with it! The organization and space is extraordinary. The grandkids love having their own mini-fridge with snacks and drinks and I love having a large upper fridge for the adults only purchases! Friends have all commented on the great look. Some have commented that the dedicated freezer space was small - but I disagree - I can store all my freezer needs in deep spacious drawers and slide out shelves. Pizza boxes fit. Love Love Love It.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Boughtallnewappliances Warranty is horrible... went out after 9 months and took over a month to replace
After buying many Samsung products over the years, I will avoid Samsung in the future. I have the 31.7 cubic foot french door refrigerator that went out after 9 months. The top refrigerator section stopped cooling. Samsung had someone there within one day to repair but it wasn't repairable. After almost a month I have dealt with support at least 5 times and may finally have a replacement (but only after I called the shipper to request delivery). The rudest support people are in their 'executive Customer Support' division. Buy Samsung at your own risk. Having the extended warranty from Home Depot was not helpful either because for the first year its up to Samsung.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Samsank DO NOT BUY!!! DESIGN FLAWS JUST BEING REALIZED
We purchased this refrigerator in March 2014, and loved it. In October we noticed on the freezer was working, and the top and lower right compartments had risen to 61 degrees and all food spoiled. We called samsung and were able to get a service call after 4 days of repeated calling. The repairman came out and replaced a temperature sensor and said it should cool down in a few hours, but no change.
We kept calling and the service center said if it wasn't the temperature sensor, and that the repair man noticed a burning sensation on this fingers after the left our home. We were talking to both samsung and the service center trying to find out what we should do, when the repair man said since it was leaking some type of coolant from the system, it was basically not repairable and we would have to fight samsung to get another.
We eventually did get samsung to agree, but they would not help us get it exchanged. They said the would do a buyback, which would be a check for the sale price we paid excluding taxes, etc. I cannot replace the refrigeratpr for this price. Nor can I repair the one I have.
The repair man mentioned this has a unique propane cooling system that may be unique to the convertable models. Seeing many new reviews popping up in the last few months about the same refrigerator having the exact same failure sure sounds like a design flaw. You have been warned!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Loretta Within 10 months refrigerator quit working!
Absolutely love the refrigerator, except the fresh food portion totally quit cooling within 10 months. Will never buy another Samsung due to customer service problems. Spent close to 6 weeks attempting to get replacement refrigerator. Multiple hours spent on the phone with Samsung's executive offices. No one ever does what they tell you, never return calls, cancels transaction and can't tell you why or who did it... Most stressful situation. If you have to get a new one definitely go with the refund NOT replacement!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dapriest Simply an amazing refrigerator
When I saw this unit on display at Home Depot, I knew I had to have it. My 16-year-old Maytag was wearing me down with failures and repairs, and I'd decided it was time for it to retire. My partner and I host a LOT of parties, and we do some catering. I do still have another side-by-side refrigerator that I use primarily for beverages, and a large 17 cubic foot upright freezer.
While I did have to make some adjustments to the cabinets to make this unit fit, it was worth the effort. I added some ventilation in the kickplates of the neighboring cabinets to ensure the unit could breathe properly. I have floor to ceiling cabinets surrounding the unit, but have open space under the cabinets behind the kickplates. The only problem I've heard about regarding Samsung refrigerators is that they can overheat if they can't breathe, and I wanted to make sure this one didn't have that problem.
One more word of caution... the clearances mentioned in the documentation do not reflect the fact that the doors are about 1 1/2" taller than the fridge... if you have full-length cabinet doors above the unit like I do/did, then you likely will not be able to open them with the fridge in place. I removed the doors and chose to use the shelves as open storage.
Everyone that comes to our home comments on the look of the fridge, and particularly the lack of handles (and the lack of visible fingerprints that result!) The top section is wonderful, lots of deep storage in the doors, plus a lot of flexibility with the shelving. The lighting is BRIGHT... the LED lighting system ensures that you won't miss anything in the upper compartment.
The lower compartments are ideal for us. Certainly, the dedicated freezer compartment is somewhat small, but it's perfect for our needs as most everything we freeze goes into our deep freeze. The multi-function compartment is perfect for our needs... For us, it homes meats and cheeses and is kept at 31 degrees, which is perfect for short term storage of these items. I'm completely at a loss regarding the other reviewers complaints about the lack of freezer space... this lower-right compartment can be used as a freezer as well... which is why it's called "multi-function." It's easy enough to change this setting that you can alter it as often as you need. The ability to adjust the temperature settings in each compartment to specific temps is awesome. The refrigerator makes no discernable noise... I can't hear it run at all. The only thing I ever hear is ice falling in the ice maker.
I strongly recommend this unit. I don't think there's anything else in it's price range that would offer the same level of features and functionality. It's a perfect fit for our needs.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by rjck DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG FRIDGES
Bought this fridge new late June 2014. Water dispenser drips all the time. We've had 4 warranty service calls and a 5th now scheduled. Samsung customer support has been HORRIBLE - parts replaced multiple times haven't fixed the problem, & Samsung is trying to blame it on low water pressure. Our previous fridge and all our neighbors have had no similar issue. This is a design flaw in this fridge. I want my money back but it's been a major battle with Samsung. The last (local) repairman they sent out said Samsung quality is one of the worst and makes up a lot of his business. Recommended going with Amana or Frigidaire.

The ice maker stopped making ice after a year of moderate use. Had repairman out five times, replaced unit, defrosted new unit, replaced small motherboard on back...still no ice. So glad we got an extended warranty that will repay us the purchase price. The ice maker has been problematic since we first got the refrigerator. It dripped water, either on the outside tray until it ran over and on to the floor, or on the inside, if the door was opened to retrieve an item. Was constantly wiping up water under the veg trays or sopping it up in the outside tray to keep it from overflowing. Going back to an icemaker in the freezer portion of a refrigerator (side by side), rather than in the door of the refrigerator...as the two don't seem to mix very well.

We purchased in November 2013. The ice maker does not work properly. Ice melts and clumps as it sits in the ice bucket over a period of 1-2 days. Screw mechanism then crushes the ice when attempting to distribute. Had Samsung out for repair. They took pictures. Followed up with a survey where I expressed my dissatisfaction. They called to close the repair ticket. Told them still not fixed. Have not back from them since December. I think the problem lies in the fact that the ice maker is in the refrigerator and not the freezer and it not properly insulated.
Also it shows every fingerprint. The front is not stainless steel.
