The electrician and I both think if the oven is electric it will need something other than 120v and a 20 amp breaker.
Asked by: Flip

The griddle on the display piece was cast iron. The one that came with it is not!! We really wanted the cast iron, but this one is heavy aluminum, we think!

A 5 burner stove is a wise investment and a valuable tool for the everyday "home chef". The burner sizes on this stove vary for different uses. The front burners are bigger for the regular uses such as cooking in a hurry. There are two sizes smaller on the back burners; a medium and a small size. These are great for simmering a sauce or cooking a small pot of tea while using the front burner to do the heavy work. The bigger middle burner ups your talents in cooking like a professional chef, and is fantastic for using the grill that is included with the purchase. Pancakes, grilled veggies, and bacon are cooked easily, EVENLY, and quickly when using on the grill on the middle burner. The oversized grill has oval shaped heating rings underneath the grill for even heating of the grill. The non-stick coating on the grill makes for easy, quick clean-up. When not using the grill, the oval shaped middle burner is also great for heating BIG pots of meals. I have enjoyed boiling chicken, before barbequing on the grill, with ONE big pot on the middle grill instead of multiple smaller pots on the four corner burners. While an instruction manual is included for using the stove and oven, its not really needed as the controls are straight forward and well thought out. Oven cooking selection buttons are placed for different types of styles on the control panel. Timer and heating selections are well placed for ease of planning your next dinner, lunch, or breakfast.

This is one of the worst stove i ever had, the knobs on the stove break easily because the inside is made out of cheap plastic and it got to a point were it would not turn of at all. The worse thing about it is that i only had it for 8 months and i would hardly us it.

It looks nice, the range gives off good heat, and the oven heats up very quickly. A couple of things I dislike about the oven in the two weeks I've had this stove - the oven puts out a lot of heat off the top and it seems to be consistently about 25 degrees under the temperature it is set to. I purchased an oven thermometer to track this when I felt like things were cooking way too slowly. I'm hoping I can reset the thermometer, but until I figure that out I'm just setting the oven 25 degrees higher than I need it and it works very well.

The griddle is a nice feature - we used it for burgers and for pancakes. We love the safety features and the alert for when the temperature is reached. The stainless steel shows fingerprints easily so I have to clean more often than I would like but I am sure that will subside.

I bought this oven in late 2015 and the ignition switch has all ready given out for the oven. After searching and searching for someone to fix this the final cost is HALF OF WHAT I PAID FOR IT. I will never ever buy anything Samsung or LG. Labor rates and parts are a rip off and their warranty is worthless! Very angry customer. You could do better Home Depot by having appliances that last and serviceable locally without costing an arm and a leg.

The burner grates are nice and secure. I also like the continuous cook top. A couple things to keep in mind with this stove is that with the continuous cook top there is not a good place to put cooking utensils unless you put a plate or something over a burner. I also have some old cast iron griddles that I like to use for bacon and pancakes. The burner configuration makes this a little tricky. If you use the middle burner you really can't use the other 4. I use the two griddles on the side burners. Since the burners have different BTU you need to play with the heat level. Having burners with different BTU seems to be standard right now, and typically pretty useful, so this is not really a knock on this stove. The key pad is a little stiff and not the most intuitive but again wouldn't keep me from getting it again.

The worst one is the smallest burner flames out if set to lowest setting and that I believe is a defect to be addressed by service and corrected. The other items are the touch pad control requires pretty firm effort to make entries and you cannot simply enter oven temperature changes while the oven is running, you must first key in Bake, then enter the new temperature which is annoying after using our previous stove which allowed changes by simply entering the new temperature. Otherwise I'm pleased with the stove and would recommend it.

The Samsung's control panel is a bit flimsy and can be difficult to operate, you really have to push the "touch" controls quite hard to program. Also we have natural gas and never had a problem before with the flame adjustment as they are supposed to be set appropriately at the factory. Flames seems too high but we don't want to pay now for a service call so will have to adjust them ourselves. The middle burner is ok but the griddle provided is small. The stove is only o.k. Think we could have gotten better value with another brand.
