I knew better than to again buy a Samsung Appliance but this is the range I really wanted. Had the range 2 days when the back left burner stopped working. No problem, it's under warranty. BUT, therein lies the problem. It's going to be just under 2 weeks for an appt. for a Technician to come out. Why? Because the reimbursement rate that Samsung pays for service companies is so low, no company want a contract with Samsung. Found this out from a technician who serviced my refrigerator. Had to go w/out a refrigerator a month before a technician came out. Oh, well...at least 4 out of 5 burners work.

Had to call service the next day because a burner failed to light. The tech got it to work once out of 5 times. Waiting for Samsung who is supposed to replace the entire range. Will be about a month so the credit card will not be paid until that time.

I replaced a very old range. I had wanted an LG range to match my 3 yr old refrigerator, but too many reviews told of quality and design problems so I tried the Samsung. So far, I'm very glad I did.
The variety of burner powers is handy. I wish one of the smaller burners was in front and the power burner was in back, but I can work with it.
After my old worn-out-thermostat-old-oven, it is SO nice to have an oven with a steady temp.
The electronic oven controls will take a bit of getting used to, but I'm doing fine so far. I'll keep the Quick Start Guide handy until I learn the patterns.
I really appreciate the sturdy stove control knobs. That was one thing I disliked about both my old range and the LG range reviews - easily broken and VERY expensive to replace control knobs. The knobs on this Samsung look and feel substantial.
The stove top is EASY to clean. Smooth surface level transitions mean no nooks for food to get caught. The burner plates and the stove-top grates wipe down cleanly.
My husband and I installed it without much trouble. The directions were thorough and understandable.
Replacing the NG jets with the LP jets was a little tricky due to the small size of the jets, but we used hemostats to grasp them and then they were easy to install.
After we attached the gas line to the wall and the unit, getting the gas line in place as we pushed the unit against the wall took a bit of awkward maneuvering and trial and error before we could ensure it wasn't going to be kinked. We got it arranged after a couple of tries. Not sure how this could be made simpler. I don't know enough about how gas pipes need to be made.
The process for leveling the unit after it is in place needs some help. You can't reach the rear leveling feet to adjust them - so you have to pull the range back out and adjust them, then push it back in to see if your adjustment was adequate - and again, until you get it adjusted right. Poor planning, OT.
I know propane is not the most energy efficient way to cook, but that is how my house is supplied, and I MUCH prefer it to electric stoves.
I chose not to get a convection oven model because I don't do enough baking to justify the increased purchase and energy costs.
I am very happy I went with the white unit. Black wouldn't fit my decor, and stainless steel is such a smudge magnet. I keep my kitchen clean, but I'm not going to wipe down the whole stove every single time I cook. The stainless steel fad is not my game.
Though I've only had it a little while, I am pleased with my purchase overall. I haven't used it enough to know if the range is "Excellent" or not so I gave it a "Good" rating.

I am very happy with this range. All of the burners work very well and the flame control on every burner is amazing. You can adjust the flame from very high to very low (almost invisible to the eye). Even though one of the burners is called a simmer burner for melting butter, etc., when turned up to high it can boil a normal size pan of water on it in no time. The oven cooks evenly and stays extremely clean. The top of the range is very easy to clean also. I was somewhat concerned about keeping the black grates clean and looking new but was pleasantly surprised that they are very easy to clean with a damp towel or a small amount of dish soap. I have found that if I use a high sided frying pan and a splatter shield that very little grease gets on the range surface. The griddle is really nice to have and it is easy to store in the bottom drawer. Although the bottom drawer is smaller on this range than my last, I can still fit several different size baking sheets and bakeware in it. I paid 599.00 for this range and purchased the insurance (which is well worth it).

The range performs wonderfully. However, converting from natural gas (as delivered) to propane was a problem. The instructions did not describe the process clearly and correctly for this range. Converting the top burners was very easy, but converting the two oven burners was difficult and time consuming.

Love this stove/oven! The griddle burner in the center is my favorite feature and will get some serious usage!

This oven/stove is exactly as described. I am pleased with its utility and appearance. The only thing I am a little dissapointed with is that when the griddle is on the middle burner it takes up space on the other four burners. I prefer to keep it on there so I have a place to rest my spoon while I am using the other burners to cook on, but since it forces the other pots and pans to be off center from their burners, it isn't an ideal situation.

I bought this because our 8 year old Kenmore stopped working. I love the stove top. The grates are heavy and wash up nicely. The burners have so much power that it only takes minutes to boil a pot of water. We have used the 5th burner griddle to cook bacon an sausage. I think it may work better to cook them first and use the griddle as a warmer since it takes longer to cook on the griddle. The temp of the oven shows on the display as it heats so you know how much longer before reaching the set temp. I have not used the cleaning feature yet and I hope it works just as well as everything else.
