Answer:
Yes. Digital readout tells temp up to your selection and notifies you that oven is ready. Set timer and and walk away. Signal lets you know when finished. also will turn oven off if preferred,if you are not going to be present.

Yes, it does. I've had it for just over a year and recently discovered you can also set it for (at least) two different consecutive times, which is convenient when cooking more than one thing at a time. Love this stove!

It doesn't resist fingerprints. I use a vinegar solution in a spray bottle with paper towels, and both the stainless and black top clean up easily.

Another option is to apply a small amount of baby oil to the stainless finish using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. This will not only clean the stainless steel, but can help prevent fingerprints from recurring.

What you are thinking of is a model that's about $400 more and it will show the words :"TRUE CONVECTION" (caps intended that time!) I didn't look closely at it because I don't think it's worth $400 more, but I THINK there is an electric heating element around the fan that adds more hot air to the blowing process - rather than (I'm an airline pilot - so we call it a "RECIRC FAN" -- and I'm pretty sure that's what this model is. Just a recirc fan.
Oh wait - I just saw you asked this one year ago so I hope this helps SOMEONE! You probably got your answer by now.
Check both user manuals - you'll see the diff.

Answer:
If the question is what power source is used to create convection then it's electric because fan that creates that convection is certainly powered by electricity, not by gas. I don't think that it will be working when you don't have power in your house (electricity) but you still should be able to use stove by using regular matches.

Thanks for your interest. The NX58H5600SS Range uses gas to heat both the cook top and the oven. The oven also features a convection fan to help circulate the hot air.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 577 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great oven for the price We just purchased this range after a month or so of comparing all the product options out there. The stove looks great in our kitchen and the stainless steel matches the other non Samsung appliances (microwave and dishwasher). The burner grates sit a little higher than our last stove so have to get used to that. The one thing to get used to is the heat that pours out of the vent at the base of the control panel. Seems like a lot of heat coming out while the oven is on. To the point where it is too hot to stand and cook at the stove while the oven is on. Our last stove did not have that much heat coming out. I wonder how efficient it really is if that much heat is coming out. That is the only reason why I gave this a 4 star rating. Otherwise the stove looks and functions great. But have only had it for a month now...so we'll see. October 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stove We've been wanting to switch to a gas range for years and a sale for Samsung ranges made the conversion cost affordable. HD delivered on time and our plumber did the conversion/install. Love this unit! October 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty nice!! so far so good Very elegant stove with plenty of room in/on stovetop/oven. Griddle plate is nice also. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great gas range! We bought this product online after much research. We are very pleased with this Samsung gas range. The quality of materials and workmanship is evident in the look and feel of the range. My only concern when researching this model was the complaint by a couple of reviewers that they broke a burner knob, which was not covered by warrranty. Frankly, I don't understand how a person could actually break these knobs with normal use as they are substantial and well-constructed. The oven reaches and holds the set temperature precisely. We have not used all the features yet, but so far this range has exceeded our expectations! We did have to call a plumber to hook up the gas line, as the delivery crew was unable to do so. But HD credited our account for the installation, so we are very pleased. September 27, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent buy and product! I did some research before buying my Samsung 5.8 gas convection oven. I am very happy with it because it heats up much more quickly than my old oven and the heat is even. This allows me to bake more cookies at one time and not have to worry about the placement of the baking trays. I would highly recommend this product The delivery crew was top notch and I assembled it myself because I have propane. If you don't have propane and you have gas it is simply a matter of hooking up the line. Excellent buy and great product!!!! September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Converting to LP I'm writing this for anyone thinking about changing the stove from gas to LP. The good thing is that Samsung sends the "kit" on a card which shows exactly where each LP orifice goes. Changing over the stove top burners is a snap; all you need is a 7mm socket, and takes about 5 minutes. Next you will pull out the bottom storage drawer completely so you can get to the red capped plug way in back. Take the plug off and unscrew the brass orifice. It's only hand tightened, so it unscrews easily, turn the end around and hand screw it in again and replace the red cap. Now remove the stove door. I had trouble with this step so I'll explain. To do this, fully open the door, get a skinny longer screw driver. Now look for a square hole at the top of each hinge. Stick the screw driver in the "hole" and pull down. That should unlock the door. Now take the door, when it is about 5 inches away from closed, and pull straight up and out. Get a flashlight because you will now be working in the stove to remove the last two orifices. First the bottom burner: Take out the two screws in front and remove the enameled bottom; then two more screws will remove the second cover over the burner tube. Now take out the two screws on each end of the bottom stove burner tube. Once you have done this you can pull up on the tube to get at the orifice. Hint, it is easier getting at it at this point by going to back of stove. Once it's replaced, go back to front of stove to get at broiler orifice. This is the last and hardest one to replace, and it helps if you can get another person to help. Remove the single screw way in back that holds a chrome piece in place (it covers igniter wires). Next remove four screws, two on each side holding the large metal top cover. Now have a person hold the gas boiler tube while you remove a screw on each end of the tube. Pull the tube forward, you now can get at the last LP orifice. Now connect the LP gas to the stove. The Samsung came with no extra parts, but I was able to remove my old black pipe and brass fitting from the old stove, which fit perfectly on the Samsung. Warning: at this point do not reinstall the stove bottom because they first want you to inspect the flames coming out of the stove bottom tube. (You do want to put the door back in place before turning the stove on.) If the flame is incorrect the tube flue may have to be adjusted. Ours looked OK, so I then reinstalled the bottom of the stove. One more problem we encountered was when we were pushing the stove back to the wall; it would not go back as far as the old stove! The gas fitting gets in the way of the Samsung stove, so it sits about 4 inches further away from the wall. At this point I don't know how to fix this other than replacing some of the gas piping. We made pizza right after changing over all the parts and I have to say that the new stove gets up to temperature faster and bakes faster than our 12 year old stove did. All in all from the time the stove was delivered, my wife and I spent about 2 and 1/2 hours before turning the stove on and baking the pizza. It would take about half that time if I were to do another one. Good luck. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great range for the price! I really love this stove. The griddle is a great feature and the burners heat very fast. The only negative is the burners caps are a little difficult to clean May 3, 2016
