Can this oven be used with propane gas?

Asked by: Noni
Yes it can be used with propane and comes with the orifices required to use it. All you need do is change the orifices in the unit which is pretty easy and is included in the instruction manual.

Can this oven fit thru a 26 in. wide door?

Asked by: valm
It would be very close. If you you have room to maneuver on both sides of the door (inside & out), you may be able to wiggle it through, but I am thinking it would tough. Straight through? No way

The burners and griddle work well, and heat evenly. The auto-sparker start works well. We have not tried the convection fan yet, as we have only had it a few weeks. The oven did work great on bake and broil. I liked that the inside was very easy to see through the window when the light was on. The style and finish is really nice. I like the stainless steel. This 30 inch oven replaced a behemoth 40 inch electric from the '70's. So we have this gap on the side, I was thinking a storage trolley could go there, but we are very happy with the Samsung!

Note that b/c it is an all-gas range, if you are replacing a dual-fuel unit (as we were) the Samsung requires a regular 110v outlet-- it does not use a 220v outlet like a dual-fuel would. Beware the "enameled" stove grates, however-- they are NOT enameled-- they are cast iron with a thin coat of black paint that does not even appear to be a baked finish--simply sprayed on. Our stove was delivered with two of the three grates already having peeling paint-- clearly a manufacturing defect (see photo). Samsung, however, as others have noted in their reviews, claimed this is "cosmetic" damage and hence warranty does not apply. I'm pushing back to say it is a defect... given I emailed them photos of it the day of delivery. We'll see. Very poor quality on the grates-- the part that is most obvious to every purchaser/user.

Home Depot's delivery team was great as well. As far as quality and warranty repairs go, the manufacturer gets sub-par marks. Less than a year after purchase, one of the control knobs inexplicably broke. Not bumped into, not mistreated, it simply snapped and quit. Samsung says they'll replace the knob. About the same time as the broken knob, rust marks began appearing on two of the three cast iron cooking grates. It's obviously a manufacturing defect as the finish is flaking off. Samsung says that the rust is "caused due to maintenance" and not covered under warranty. Maintenance. Seriously? Exactly how does one maintain a hunk of cast iron? I wipe up any spills and I remove the grills from the range and clean under them. Then I reinstall them. The same thing I've done to gas ranges for 40+ years and this is the first time I've had them rust. Really disappointed that I have to either replace these or spend the time and effort to re-finish them. I'll probably re-finish them because why would I want to give Samsung more money?

This is the worst and cheapest made stove I have ever seen. I have had the stove for 4 months and the grates are rusting! The black enamel coating is so thin that the coating is flaking off each time I wipe down with plain water and soap. I looked closely at the enamel and I can see tiny bubbles all throughout the stove top. Even the inside of the oven has a round rust spot the size of a penny that is growing! This stove is cheaply made. Even worse, Samsung would not do anything about it. They called it "cosmetic" issues and they don't warranty that. DO NOT BUY THIS STOVE. It looks pretty but between the cheap paint job materials and the Samsung terrible service you will regret it. Thank you Home Depot customer service for being wonderful in helping me to deal with these issues. I am replacing this stove. Home Depot I thank you for your great customer service.

Took 6 minutes to get to 350 degrees, yeah! My old stove was taking 25-45 minutes to do that. Very happy with purchase. Liked it so much, I decided to add in a matching Samsung microwave.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Reliable I have had this appliance for only a few weeks and the oven panel is not turning on. It will turn on and in the middle of baking will turn off. The repair man today states that the board was defective and needed to be replaced. We don't know when that will happen so we can't really use the range because this is creating an electrical shortage...not very safe to use. I don't know why Samsung won't send us a new one but would rather require the whole thing. We are a family of 6 and this is very inconvenient.

I purchased this stove back in October of 2015 and already, some burners do not work and all the burner switches are broken. I tried to get them replaced by the manufacture but they noted I had to get them replaced at Home Depot. I can expect this from at 5+ year old stove but not a stove that is only 1-1/2 years used. I will not buy or recommend another Samsung stove.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Before you buy this stove keep in mind problems start as soon as the warranty expires I was very happy with this stove also until 18 days after the warranty expired, they have allot of problems with the knobs and the quality of the finish on the range top, if food boils over depending on the type of food it marks up the paint and you can't get it off. The knobs break off at around of one year of use, the outside of the knob is really nice quality stainless steel on the inside it is plastic, they never re- enforced it with a metal ring, because of the heat from the oven they break off, the knobs are very expensive, the customer service is terrible, they won't acknowledge that there is a problem, if you go on samsung community you will see that there are allot of complaints about the knobs.
