I bought this microwave 18 months ago because I am a huge fan of Samsung products. Unfortunately this is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. The fan is so noisy that having it on during family meals is uncomfortable.
After 12 months the handle fell off- I tried to get a replacement, but Home Depot refused and Samsung only offered to send a repair person ($150 + parts). I decided to order the handle ($30) and install it myself .
This week it just stopped working. It is completely dead.
I did not purchase the extended warranty, but I never expected to have this appliance last less than 2 years. My last microwave was a Maytag and lasted 0ver 9 years with no problems . I guess I'm going back to MAYAG.

We have had this microwave for over a year now and I have not experienced any problems like some of the other reviews have mentioned.
Looks: I love the sleek look this microwave has from inside out. The black and stainless look really brings that modern look to any kitchen. The inside of the microwave is also black and comes with a metal shelf that fits inside. Very well done on the design.
Features: this microwave has all kind of heating features for pizza, drinks, potatoes, reheat, defrost etc..... They actually cook these items very well, and the clock and timer setting are easy to use. The lighting under this microwave is adjustable, so you can go dim to bright with just a few clicks.
Function: All of the buttons on the touch pad work great. They must have good sensors in them, because II never need to hit the number, or function I want more than once. This seems very high power for being energy efficient. The food heats up evenly and very fast every time. Boiling water is much, much faster than using the stove now.
Install. I actually installed this by myself, but I would recommend that you get a second person to help. Its not all that heavy, but you will need to install the new wall bracket that this comes with to hang. All in all, it took me about an hour to hand, but that included using the template that comes with this to trace your marks on the wall.
Cons: The only flaw I have found with this microwave (the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is the vent fan. It comes with a two vent filters for the smoke you may get occasionally from the oven, but they never do a good job. I have never had a microwave that actually had a built in vent that worked well, but if I give a perfect rating, I expect a perfect item.
Summary: I think this microwave is great. I have had it for over a year now, and I have not had one error message, or any other problem with it. I would definitely recommend this!

The good news is the microwave has NOT started a fire or fallen off the wall.
The bad news is we do not like it at all and we wish it burned or fell off the wall!
In less than a year, the humidity sensor that "auto-senses" when food is done now returns an error and stops cooking...
even if that worked - GET THIS - if you set the kitchen timer feature (say for 10 minutes>...) you CAN NOT use the microwave... if you are using the micowave, you can NOT use the kitchen timer WTF? ....
The keypad is always looking dirty because of its finish that seems to attract "smears" from the cleanest of hands...
we want to return it and will try that this week.....

We have been using this microwave for only 5 months. I was very happy with it until one day it was just dead. I did all the troubleshooting the manual says to do so I knew it wasn't the outlet or fuse. When I contacted Samsung, I told the tech what had happened and that I had done the troubleshooting.
He automatically says he will order the parts and a company will contact me to install parts. I asked him how he knew what parts to order without a repairmen looking at it. Anyway long story short, they can't get anyone to come out to where I live to service it so they want to refund my money. Fine by me now I have to purchase another microwave. It looks like all brands on all microwaves have issues. What are the odds if I purchase the same microvave I will get the same result? :)

I have a slightly older version of this microwave (about 4 years old - out of warrantee of course). It no longer works due to an SE error - meaning that a little moisture got in rendering it unusable and broken. It is an over the range microwave and I used the exhaust fan. Why would a company make a microwave the goes over the range and is broken if a little steam gets in? DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! I have fixed it twice only to have it break again a week later. I have to get a new microwave and will not buy a Samsung ever again! If you look online this is a very common error/problem with this microwave and they won't fix or replace it for you. Piece of JUNK

This microwave lasted exactly one year one week. The warrantee is for a one year period for all parts except the magnatron. Samsung agreed to have a technician visit & diagnose the unit, & he recommended throwing the microwave away & buying a different one. I will not be buying another Samsung appliance again

We purchased this microwave as part of a Samsung bundle special and while it looks nice, it had issues from the start. This microwave is only a few months old and it stops heating food mid-cycle. When I called Samsung support, it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The first call, the tech wanted me to un-mount the microwave so that I could plug it in somewhere else. I tried to explain that it was an over-the-range microwave that I just can't pick it up and move it....not understood. She said find someone to help you. I figured I'd call again and try anther tech. This time he told me that since it works "sometimes" that I have to call a local appliance company to come and take a look. That if it didn't work at all that Samsung would send someone out. Am I dreaming...or is the twilight zone. Needless to say, I"m glad I only paid a few hundred dollars for this horrible microwave and I think I'll just replace it then go through the headache of calling Samsung again!

We purchased based on description and sales directions. Kitchen Timer...yes..right there. IT DOES NOT allow the timer to be used while cooking and vice versa. Samsung says...you should have read the on line manual before purchase. But the manual does not say that the timer doesn't work while cooking. Samsung says "We are sorry, but the manual doesn't have to say that they don't work at the same time. It is not a safety issue". Sorry you are unhappy, but you bought it. I have learned my lesson well....NEVER AGAIN!
