Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by swedenmd This is our 2nd Samsung fridge within 2 weeks!! The first made a horrible noise and would not stop, so we called Home Deport and had a replacement sent 7 days later. The 2nd fridge didnt have the horrible loud noise but certainly did make a loud vibrating noise when the compressor turned on. I had a side by side Kenmore for almost 20yrs and never made this loud noise when the compressor came on. Samsung has been proactive and sent a tech out 2 days ago but of course there was no noise at the time, so they suggested I record the noise and play it back to them..which I plan on doing.. so long story short.. be careful when purchasing a Samsung Fridge.

We searched for a French door, bottom freezer refrigerator with an ice maker and no thru-door water that would fit our space. Our overhead cabinet is lower than most. We found this Samsung model on the Sears website and it seemed to be perfect. But it was "discontinued" and "unavailable".
Then we found it on the Home Depot website. Delivery was quick and installation was very efficient and professional, and included moving our old fridge to the basement (only $15 extra).
It's roomy inside and it's cute on the outside. It's quiet. The first ice cubes were black but the following cubes quickly became clear. The adjustable glass shelves are attached only at the rear but seem sufficiently strong. Our magnets stick to it, something we did not expect!
The manual could use a native English speaker.

I am not sure which is worse, Home Depot's customer service or Samsung's service and product. In sum, we ordered this refrigerator to replace a GE that had broken shelves and a broken ice maker. It took 2-3 weeks to come. It came, the Home Depot installers plugged it in and ran out the door. It never got cold. We called Home Depot. After waiting on hold, we were told to call Samsung. We called Samsung. They insulted our intelligence by asking us to confirm it was plugged in and on. Yep. Only the cold is missing. We were told to call Home Depot back to discuss with them. Home Depot then tells us to call Samsung back. We do. We are told they need to schedule a service visit and they will contact us in 4 days to schedule it. Being proactive, I called the local Samsung repair center. It was going to be 10 days to come see the fridge (they are likely too busy with exploding phones and washing machines. Well, it's not 1875 so I need a refrigerator. We ordered another brand from another store and it arrived in 2 days. It has worked perfectly. I had to wait 8 days for them to pickup the fridge, let alone for them to look at it to fix it. Regardless, I lost all the food. Home Depot offered me free pickup (wow ice in winter) for my trouble. They claim they will refund my credit card. They have not. Samsung won't pay for any of the food I lost and neither will home depot. Why? A technician didn't come confirm that the refrigerator was broken. It could have been user error. Right. It wasn't in demo mode. I am not an idiot and I cannot live two weeks without a refrigerator. So, if you want spoiled food, Home Depot to keep your money and for them to call you stupid, order this fridge.

We finally let go of our old Whirlpool which was nearly 30 years old. It is so wonderful to have the freezer on the bottom and the refrigerator at face level (depending on your height). The interior is so bright, nothing can hide and all the leftovers, or new food, are where you can see it. The pop gets really cold without freezing the lettuce. It feels like a real luxury. I wish there had been one in the size we needed (under 65") that had the refrigerator drawer separate from the french doors. Also would have loved a water and ice dispenser in the door, but even at that, I love my new fridge. And the delivery man was very courteous, knew what he was doing and fast.

I bought this on June 23, the ice maker already stopped. Called Samsung Support they sent a tech out only to tell me the ice maker wasn't getting any water. I've had 2 other refrigerators in that spot both with ice makers. It's obvious Samsung does not stand behind their products. My suggestion is put in in the garage, buy a GE or go to Wal-Mart and buy ice cube trays

This fridge works great and is very good looking. Ice maker works well. Shelves can be moved around very easily to your preference. 30inch wide was what I needed. Not a lot of choices in 30in. I feel lucky there was a good option. Only negative was my own fault. Didn't relize how deep it is.
