After purchasing this washer and dryer set new, the dryer motor went out after 2 months. It was still under warranty so they replaced it. Well long story short, we have gone through 5, yes, 5 motors!! They finally agreed after we got heated to replace the dryer. I have never been so disappointed in a product before.

For how expensive this machine is you think Samsung customer service would stop telling people the same thing is wrong on every dryer. And if it is the same thing maybe they need to recall the product or actually fix it because everyone who has posted a negative comment is having the same issues with the dryer. Mine turns off after five seconds no matter what i try or clean, it still just turns off. Our close friends have the same machine and they had to get theirs completely replaced because of the motor (Hmm same things i've read too). I'm also VERY frustrated with the samsung rep. telling me it was our fault that the door won't switch to the other side we didn't even get the opportunity to do so when we noticed we couldn't because there wasn't a way to screw it in. According to him we must have tried something and broken off the piece that allows the door to attach and Samsung will not fix or replace it. So again an expensive dryer that doesn't even allow me to have all the features that originally caught my eye. I've been without a dryer now for over a week and they have to order everything from out of state and can't even get out until next week. SAMSUNG customer SERVICE and TECHS ARE TERRIBLE they really make the process stressful and frustrating. I'd do your research because this dryer may have attractive features, do large loads, and look really nice BUT IT IS NOT a good investment for the long run.

Horrible dryer! We bought this "top of the line" dryer in April 2014. Six weeks out of warranty and it stopped working. It runs for 5 seconds then stops. We called Samsung and they sent out a factory authorized technician, and talked us into buying an extended warranty First, the "authorized" technician said the problem was the motor. Then they sent the same tech out a 2nd time to "confirm" that the problem was indeed the motor. On the 3rd visit a different tech decided it wasn't the motor and it was the control board. On the 4th visit he replaced the control board. Guess what! It's still not working! This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. The customer service at Samsung, the extended warranty company and the subcontractor has been a nightmare. I have been without my "top of the line" dryer for almost 2 months. As a side note, I also bought the Samsung washer and although it isn’t "officially" broken, my 15 year old Kenmore cleaned much better. I will never, ever buy another Samsung product.

Dryer is almost 6 months old and has broken 3 times. The first 2 times was a "de error" for a door error and now its down for a third time with a blown motor. Dryer has major issues and Samsung is slow to fix it. Dryer will currently be out of commision now for 3 weeks waiting to get it fixed and all Samsung wanted to do was say how there is nothing they can do. I have gotten better customer service at a lemonade stand than with this product.

After one month the dryer started shutting off on its own. I would have to open and close the door to restart the unit. After a few times it would shut off completely. I would have to wait a few hours for it to start working again. I contacted Samsung and a over a week later they sent out a tech. He ordered a new circuit board. That took another week. He was here today and it still is not working. The power coming into the dryer was checked, so per the tech it has something to do with the wiring in the dryer. I have contacted Home Depot to exchange the dryer for a new one. I am very disappointed with the quality of this product.

This dryer is fantastic. The size of this thing allows me to safely dry my king size comforter without running my dryer a 2nd & possibly a 3rd time to get it completely dry. Definitely recommend for larger families. The pile of clothes that accumulates in the laundry room is very manageable now.
