I love this washer. I love the different settings allowing me to change the wash time, water temp, spin speed. And it's so quiet I hardly know it's running. I actually enjoy doing the laundry now.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Chloe11 Good washer so far, don't recommend stacking
I purchased this washer and dryer online, without seeing it stacked in the store. I am 5' 4" and with a small step stool still cannot see the settings for the dryer on top. I'm not sure why they would sell these for stacking when it's too tall for an average height female to use. Also, we have these on our second floor. I bought the anti-vibration pads to be installed but the installer said I didn't need them and besides, they would add another 2 inches. Well, I don't know whether they would have helped or not, but when we get to the final spin cycle it sounds like a helicopter is landing on our house. Other than these issues, the washer and dryer have been satisfactory so far, I've only had them for about a month though.

After four years our drum shaft and bracket warped. Black smoke poured our from burning rubber. A Samsung supervisor, on the phone agreed to pay the labor to inspect and repair the problem. After an inspection by their local appliance agent they, withdrew their offer without explanation and would not provide any rebate or compensation. Look on line and you will find this problem with other customers on the Samsung front loading washer.

First issue I had was with delivery. The guys literally dropped it out the back of a truck and bounced it on the ground on its packing. Inspection showed no damage that was obvious and what choice do you have at that point in time. The guys unpacked it, removed most not all the packaging. Right after they left we found a dent under a paper taped to the rear, again what do you do at that point its hidden and its not a big deal. The machine also had black soot on the exterior like they drove around all day with the rear door of the diesel delivery truck open, we cleaned it. Again what can you do when you need the machine.
The machine it self is an OK value. It broke down week 1 or 2 and we had a real problem with Samsung service. Samsung put me through my paces, it it plugged in, is the water on, did you turn it on, you know the stupidest questions you can imagine read off a cue card for 20 minutes After all that they refused to help us because the machine was less then month old. They sent us back to the store, we bought it on line so the call began. After about 15 calls one of the guys in install and delivery told me to call the Selden store because even though we bought it on line it was recorded as a sale from Selden.
The appliance manger at the Selden store, David, was awesome. David told me flat out he didn't have any idea why Samsung did not help or how he was going to straighten it out but he would. He promised me a call back. Before I could possibly be disappointed David called me back. He explained Samsung would be calling to set up a service appointment,
Shortly after Samsung called. An emergency appointment due to my escalation call and the fact my machine was broken was made, week and half wait. The service guy Tony from Samsung was great, but he had to go through all the steps. In the end the water flow solenoids were determined to be defective, they actually had corrosion on them. Tony had the parts and fixed it right up.
In the end I bought a relatively cheap machine and I got a relatively cheap machine. This was our second and last Samsung. There phones my be good, but their appliance are not so great and their phone service/support is terrible. Again if you do need them and you Get Tony your in luck he is great!

This is the bomb! It's located near a bedroom so I needed a quiet machine. My guests never knew I ran it after they went to bed! Nice!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Samsunghater Don't buy Samsung Waher or Dryer!!
I bought a Samsung washer this past year. It was performing just fine until one day a screw in the lid of the washer rusted out and the glass pulled away from the frame of the lid. I did not buy an extended warranty and the one year warranty had expired 2 days earlier!
I called Samsung to try to get them to fix it for free and they would not. I believe a screw in the lid of a washer should be rust proof! The repairman I called says that the Samsung brand of washer/dryers break all the time and he would NOT recommend buying them.
My Samsung matching dryer that I just purchased in January has started making a horrible noise while the clothes are tumbling and now I have to call a repairman for that as well. Stay away from Samsung!

This unit was delivered and hooked up. Leveled machine. Did the initial rinse and calibration. During spin, machine actually moved around room and shook violently. Definitely out of balance. Keep in mind the machine is empty at this point. Called Home Depot, and even though they just delivered it today, told us it's not their problem after they drop it off. Need to call Samsung. Asked them for the number and they said they don't have it....really?? First and last time buying from Home Depot.
