Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by akatlady I LOVE THIS WASHING MACHINE!!!! :-)
I have been purchasing Sears Kenmore products for thirty years and my last Kenmore Elite only lasted 4 years. To repair it would have cost the cost of buying this Samsung. I was disappointed in my last Kenmore and even more disappointed in their Customer Service or lack of!. So this is my first non Kenmore and I AM LOVING THIS SAMSUNG WASHING MACHINE!!! It has many features, but I think my favorite is the quick wash cycle. In 36 minutes I have a load of wash done! BAM!! Also, my laundry room is on the second floor and I can barely hear the machine. I even enjoy the little tune it plays when turning on and off! My clothes are clean but more important SMELL clean, unlike my Kenmore. And it large enough that I have washed my oversize king comforter. Don't hesitate - just buy this washing machine!

I had initially just wanted to get your standard, basic, no-frills washer and dryer but boy am I glad I did not. The tub is very spacious and fits a lot of clothes. I will admit that although the set has various modes, I usually end up using "normal" on both the washer and dryer. I think the best part about the dryer is not having to fiddle with the timing options and just let the dryer figure it out for you. I also really appreciate that the minutes left until the machines are done is displayed, whereas with your basic W&D you only have a general idea of when it will complete. It makes me very happy to use these--even if I am doing laundry. Also, it might seem a little complicated to set up in the beginning, but once you get passed that it's super easy to use each time.... just turn on and press start.

I've had this washer about 3 months now. I love the easy to use buttons, the tray to put supplies in which is a little bit cheap but it's nice to have a place to put those in for the delayed mode, and the countdown. It does a little song when it's done which isn't very loud but I can usually hear it and know it's done. I love that it can hold so many clothes; I almost always fill it up to maximum and it takes about 1:06 to finish. I've only ever had balancing problems once which was easily resolved once I knew what the error code was. I had put sheets in there with not much else so the weight was off.

Machine is quiet, fast and efficient. Very large tub. With the proper spin setting the clothes come out nearly dry, saving time in the dryer which means cost savings.
Since the machine determines the water level, all you have to do is put your clothes in, add the detergent, softener and bleach in the built-in cubbies, select the temperature and the type of load and that's it.
I've only had the washer for a few days but I suspect since there is no central agitator, the clothes will stay newer-looking longer.
Once the cycle starts, the lid locks which is good for people with young children.

When I first bought this and was drying some dog beds, it kept being off balance. I was very frustrated with it as my old front loader didn't do that. I've now learned what I can and can't dry together and how to load it better, so I'm much more fond of it. My favorite thing is the large tub, but it's a two edged knife, I can't reach the bottom! I'm 5'3" so if you are as short or shorter get yourself a step stool. I don't really notice that my laundry is all that much cleaner. But I like the features of the washer. I love that it has a self clean cycle too. Overall, I'm liking it the more I use it, but at first was really disappointed in it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Angie Can you be in Love a Washing Machine???
I have been through 3 washing machine's in 12 years. I had given up on finding a well made appliance anymore. I have had Maytag, Whirlpool and more recently LG. None of those washing machines made it more than 3.5 years and quite frankly I was thrilled when our Maytag Front loader broke, I said Praise God!!! I will Never buy another Front Loader EVER!!! I ordered a cheap top loading Whirlpool last week and it came and I sent it right back to Home Depot after one load of wash. I called and Home Depot took the cheap washing machine back and I ordered the Samsung. What a Huge difference. Quiet, well made and huge inside. You can stop looking now if you want High Quality for a reasonable price.

I purchased this washer on 2/15/15 to replace a two year old washer that was also a Samsung. Our old washer wouldn't spin and would give an unbalanced load every time. After about 1 week of using this washer I got the same error. The design of this washer is flawed. That's not the only issue I've had though as it has just currently in the past 2 weeks not been working at all! The washer will turn on, you can select the cycle options to wash but after pressing the start button the washer will not start. I've had a tech out to the house twice to "fix" it but it will work for a few days then all of a sudden it will not start again. Word of advise, stay away from Samsung washers, I know I will!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bada5150 Worst wash machine ever, junk
I got this on 5/5/15. It has been two weeks and it has major design flaws. At the end of the cycle, it drains the water and try to spin. In order to spin, it needs to balance the load but it never can. Then it stops, fills up with water to rebalance. Then it drains the water again. Try to spin, again it cannot balance. Then pour water again to rebalance and drain and try to spin again. It does this 4 to 5 times. Finally give up. All the clothes are still wet.
It just cannot balance and waste tons of water and ends up with all wet cloth. Then I try spin only. Same thing. Junk ever. I am returning this.
Plus it doesn't even clean the cloth well.
Worst buy ever!!! It should be called water star because it wastes too much water trying to balance and wet all the cloth.
