AVOID. Plastic veneer separating from the deck top just below the lid.
Samsung considers the peeling laminate a "cosmetic" defect of which they have ZERO interest in addressing.
When you buy a new car and use it for 18 months you just do not expect the paint to start peeling off. If such a problem appears you expect the manufacturer to STAND UP and address their engineering manufacturing problem. This lack of common courtesy in addressing this problem leaves a very bad taste in the buyers mouth.
Shame on me for thinking the high end costly product merited me buying a Samsung product. Shame on me.
CONCLUSION: Avoid all Samsung products where you expect being met half way by Samsung when an unforseen problem arises. Enough said.

This washer is terrible. @Homedepot and @Samsung will not stand behind the product. I bought the set and had them for appoximately 2 weeks and started contacting them about exchanging for a different set. It's been nearly a month later andI'm still arguing with them they tell me it's past the 48 hours that you have to return them. How is anyone supposed to know if they aren't satisfied with a washer and dryer in 48 hours. That's just rediculous. You'd have to wash everything in your house to determine if it was going to wash everything it says it will properly. They have definitely lost my business and our companies business.

If I could give this washer zero stars I would, unfortunately I have to give 1. Let me tell you, 1 star is about 1000 stars too many. I purchased this washer the last week in February 2016, and it was delivered to my home March 7, 2016. I had to call the service department for the first time on April 12, 2016. Since then I have called four more times for them to fix the same problem. What problem is that you ask? Well, it leaks. Like a lot. Like the whole drum of rinse water will come gushing out the bottom and flood my house. This has happened on 5 separate occasions. I hate this washer with the passion of a thousand fires. If Doc Brown was my BFF I'd go back to the last week in February when I was walking around a department store that rhymes with Owes looking at washers and slap myself in the face for even looking at this washer. The only thing that has not been replaced on this unit is the casing. The bleach dispenser was replaced twice. The clamp on the drain hose on the bottom of the drum has been replaced 3 times. The control panel was replaced once. The drum and struts were replaced. The detergent/fabric softener dispenser was replaced. Oh, and the reviews about the detergent and fabric softener leaking? Totally spot on. Unless you close the dispenser with gentleness of an angel's breath the detergent and fabric softener will pour out directly onto your clothes which will then stain some clothing. So fun!
This washer has been repaired so many times it looks like I bought it at a scratch and dent sale.
Samsung is so awesome about this that they are going to let me keep having this problem! I get to wait until 3 separate work orders have been processed for the same issue before they will take it back. You would think that since I have called about this problem at least 5 times that there would be at least 5 work orders. Well, like me, you'd be wrong. Since each call was within 30 days of the previous call, it's all on one work order. So exciting! That means I get to meet all kinds of different repairs guys and have them come into my home. I also get to try out all different kinds of washers since I get to have loaners while I wait for my washer to get fixed.
To conclude, this washer is the absolute worst. Do not buy. If someone offers you this washer for free, slap them and then never talk to them again because they obviously hate you.

The top loading door which has rear metal pins fractured the plastic bracket without due reasons. In reviewing the damage it appears that the plastic bracket supporting the metal pin is under significant pressure as stress marks could be seen in the location where it broke. I would highly doubt that Samsung properly validated this design for long term use and would be wary of purchasing. The time at break for our model was within 2 years. Talking with Samsung this type of defective design is not covered by their limited warranty. The fix for this issue is a significant cost.

Had went to the beach. Had a bit of sand on my cloths like I've done for 30 years. Never in my life had I needed to wash cloths 7-8 times with any other machines. This is a 1500$ hunk of junk. I had waited all day for a service tech to come out and say the machine needs a agitator and it would work better. I called the Elite service group and they said they cant help me. Or switch it out for a model with one. They said no.Home Depot is trying to talk to them but stated not much they can do. Even with a Samsung Tect and his pictures sent in of dirty , sandy clothes I'm stuck with this machine and no recourse or help .
