The Samsung 30 in. 5.9 cu. ft. Flex Duo Freestanding Electric Range gives you both a traditional single cavity and a double oven in one. This unique design utilizes a ceramic divider to let you easily switch from a large single cavity (5.9 cu. ft.) to two smaller cavities (2.7 cu. ft. and 3.0 cu. ft.), with independently controlled temperatures. You'll have the flexibility to cook both large meals, like holiday dinners, and smaller everyday meals in one oven. The Divider conveniently stores in a slot above the storage drawer when not in use. FE710DRS also features five burner flexibility with a triple and a dual-choice fast boil elements, one 12 in./9 in./6 in, and one 9 in./6 in., so you can match the element size to various pan sizes. Whether you’re boiling water, melting chocolate or simmering sauce, there’s a burner for your needs. The SteamClean option allows you to spot-clean the oven floor in just 20 minutes, but also has a self-cleaning for the deeper clean. The Hidden Bake element creates a smooth oven floor so spills are easy to clean, and the warming drawer keeps food at the perfect temperature until dinner is ready.

  • The spacious 5.9 cu. ft. oven splits into two ovens with the Smart Divider to cook at two different temperatures at the same time, with two separate temperature controls
  • 5 smoothtop elements includes two Fast boil 12 in./9 in./6 in. and 9 in./6 in. expandable elements, that give you the flexibility to cook with different-sized pans and boils water quickly saving cooking time
  • Warming center on the cooktop can be used to keep foods at the perfect serving temperature until you are ready to serve
  • Dual convection ensures even and faster cooking by evenly circulating heated air throughout the cavity. With the divider in place, there is true convection in the bottom and fan convection in the top
  • Hidden bake element helps eliminate hard-to-reach areas that collect food and spills for easy cleaning
  • Flat broil heater has a recessed design that increases broiling space
  • Convenient lower warming drawer is a perfect place for storing just-cooked meals until ready to serve
  • Stainless knobs and glass touch controls provide easy, organized cooktop and oven operation
  • Detachable door prevents your range from tipping forward in case it is accidentally stepped on it
  • Self-cleaning and steam cleaning options for quicker or deeper oven cleaning
  • Large window design compliments you kitchen decor and lets you keep a close eye on cooking progress without opening the door and disturbing oven temperature
  • Stainless steel exterior with black backsplash and vibrant blue display icons add a contemporary look to your kitchen
  • Three oven racks so you can prepare enough food for your hungry guests
  • Range comes with a one year limited warranty and five years on glass cooktop

It was recommended that aluminum and cooper clad are the best as far as heat conductive factors. But I am using what I have already and have not had any issues, I have a mix of stainless, and aluminum clad pots.

Thanks for the question. While the Flex Duo oven design prevents odors and flavors from transferring between compartments, enough heat may transfer to make the other one warm. On a related topic, if both ovens are being used, the setting in one may impact the temperature range that can be selected for the other. CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 102 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far, so good! We received our Flex Duo oven yesterday and are already loving the flexibility. I made dinner (a roast) so I needed the entire oven. When my husband wanted a late evening snack later (pizza) he was able to easily insert the flex separator, turn on the top portion only and heat up a couple of slices. I can see this being a big-time energy saver for us. Liking it so far! As you can see from the photos, we purchased with corresponding over-the-range Samsung microwave and are impressed by that as well. March 11, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not A Durable Brand After just over two years the terrible quality of the Samsung is apparent. The LCD temperature display has lost 4 segments making it impossible to read the temperature. Two of the indicator lights do not light when on high temperature. Burner temperatures were always hard to adjust, but now near impossible to maintain temperature. Foods burn even on lowest setting. Porcelain edges are easy to scratch as is the top. Oven glass is fogged with drip marks and disassembly is tedious. Handle shows significant wear. Porcelain on bottom outside edges have cracked and rusting. Stainless on bottom is so thin that even insignificant bumps dent the stainless. Cannot recommend this product or brand. December 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Start Have had this oven for a month now. Home Depot started off by getting us a sale price and free delivery! No complaints. Delivery team was professional and on time. We also bought a new frig so the service experience was important. Back to the oven, it is quiet, set up was perfect. Stove top is so fast that I suggest you don't leave anything unattended for even short periods. Warming center on stove top is a very nice touch. I did think the the storage drawer on the bottom of the over was also a warming drawer and it's not. That is a small negative. The split oven option is amazing and on top of that the ease of cooking with convection or regular bake option is simple. November 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best purchase I really like the big oven on it. the top is easy to take care of. I am very satisified with my new stove. March 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid Samsung! The glass stove top cracked on our 5 month old range. Samsung refused to replace the top despite it hardly being used. 10 days of frustrating phone calls to customer service and they washed their hands of their obviously defective product. We will never ever buy another product from Samsung and strongly recommend you learn from our terrible experience. June 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Should only be sold in Alaska Just received this oven this morning. Then turned on the regular bake for 400 degrees (The instructions suggest to do this the first time you bake to clean it out etc.). The whole time it is baking and long after you turn it off - HOT air blows out the front vents. It's too uncomfortable to stay in the kitchen. It is 60 degrees outside here today and this venting heated up my kitchen too much to stay in it. How is a person supposed to deal with summer. Called Samsung - their technicians don't even know it vents, they didn't know if this was normal or not. Yes the door was closed properly. October 31, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great range!! I spent a lot of time researching ranges and am so happy I selected this! It pre-heats in no time and distributes heat evenly--every home chef's dream. I am very satisfied with this purchase. February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stove Does not cook pizza good ( doe not fully cooked ) on top oven, must use bottom one. Have not used long enough ( 2 mos.) to rate better than good but so far everything works. Clock could be bigger. January 6, 2015
