Answer:
The reason we purchased on-line is that we are elderly and find walking difficult. We spent many hours comparing features & pictures on-line before deciding on this pair. We have not been disappointed. We don't think we spent as much time on finding these as we did when we were going from store to store searching when we could walk easier.

Perhaps you don't want to go to the store? You'll get the same price in the store, and my Home Depot sales person went to the website in the store and placed the order for me. I could have saved a trip and done that myself at home.

The DV400EWHDWR has a solid white door. If you'd prefer to have a glass door, then you'll need to choose an alternate model that has that feature, such as the DV50F9A6EVW.

Answer:
I'm not sure what you mean by the "alarm codes", Dennis. I'd suggest referring to the User Manual for an explanation of the Dryer control panel, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you in deciphering codes.

7.2 cu. ft. Electric Dryer in White is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 86.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from We have died and gone to laundry heaven We bought this dryer after our 20-year-old dryer stopped working, and we are thrilled that it now takes only about an hour to dry a load of clothes. Our previous dryer took several hours. We had looked for a while to find a dryer that performed well and fit our price range. The controls are so intuitive and easy to use, our young son can do his own laundry. You can adjust for the type of load you're drying: e.g. bedding, light loads, etc. The dryer is also very quiet. The loudest sound we hear is the happy, electronic song the dryer plays when it finishes a load. The only drawback so far is that the design of the door makes it looks like it's slightly ajar, when it's actually closed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warranty ? dont count on it. well now I have had it for a few months and the lint basket is broken. still under warranty so called Samsung " I'm sorry we only actually warranty a few parts and that's not one" pitiful design on the basket, 2 little plastic pins that hold the door on. It will break eventually. I read some bad reviews on Samsung's Warranty policy's but I didn't listen. learned my lesson. Gee thanks Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent dryer I recently moved into my first apartment, and purchased this dryer and matching washer. It is an excellent product. It dries so fast, it is done before the washer. The only things that take longer to dry are towels and bedding. That's to be expected, though as they are thick and bulky. The only thing I don't like about it is the lint screen. It has a lid on it which is a little difficult to open which makes it hard to clean. I'd definitely recommend this dryer (and matching washer) as did the sales lady at the competitor (S****).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dryer does the job. This dryer gets clothes dry. I like it's auto-sensing feature for the duration of the load. I only wish we could change which side the door opens because transferring the clothes from the washer to the drier is a bit awkward because of how the door opens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product We had this dryer three months and it stopped heating! We called the customer service rep to get it repair and they told us that no one in the area can fix this dryer..product is not worth the time or money.
Date published: 2016-02-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completely satisfied! Tried a Samsung based on the fact that I have a new Samsung fridge. I am extremely pleased with this brand. My new electric dryer works like a dream. Has all the features I could ever want. It's super quiet and my clothes dry faster than with my 13 year old dryer. The drum is much deeper than my old dryer so you do have to reach further back to get all the clothes. There is not an interior light but that doesn't bother me. I just wanted to mention it in case some people might want that feature. When the cycles end the dryer plays the most adorable little tune. Makes me look forward to washing and drying clothing. I cannot say enough good things about this dryer. I am going to purchase the matching washer soon. Very pleased.
Date published: 2013-05-18
Rated 2 out of 5 by from The jury is still out I was impressed with the dryer on the showroom floor and read all the reviews before I purchased it but was very disappointed when it finally arrived. It's very light so whenever I open or close the door the machine moves. I have to hold the side of the unit when opening or closing the door to prevent it from moving. It also doesn't have an interior light which seems petty but is a pain when using the unit at night. And it's also very loud when in use compared to my 8 yr old Whirlpool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST PRODUCT EVER-SAMSUNG After 2 years the tub completely broke, with plastic shavings in all in the clothes when washed. I should have had a clue when the code for unbalance load would not stay off. I did not know the tub was broken. It would not even turn at the end. They cannot even repair it, so I have to go out and buy a new washer. This is the second Samsung product that I have had problems with. The refrigerator broke down within 2 months. The Samsung dryer that matches this has a problem with the lint catcher. Try to even clean it when the inside cannot be reached with a hand and a lint remover brush will not fit into the plastic cavities. I will never purchase a Samsung appliance again.
