Yes, and when you order the appliance this can be written into the order as a door swing change (no charge). However this CANNOT be done with a front load washer!

Just a cold water connection like a braided hose used for your washer, you will need one to connect from the Y connector provided with the dryer.

Answer:
You'll need a splitter and a hose both of which the store clerk should be able to either verify is included or recommend for purchase. That being said, take a peek in your laundry room during installation to be sure the workmen have hooked up the water to the dryer. I saw at least one review where this step was neglected.

The Electric DV48H7400EW comes with the Y-connector and hose needed to connect the Dryer to water for steam, but it doesn't come with the power cord since the type of cord needed depends on your home's wiring. I would suggest contacting your local Home Depot Appliance Specialist if you need assistance choosing a power cord that will work with your home's wiring and also meet local building codes.

Hi Marhaz,
The DV48H7400EW would need to be connected to a cold water supply for the Steam feature to function, and the Dryer comes with the Y-connector and hose to make that connection. However, if you don't have an accessible water supply, it's fine to use the other cycles on the Dryer without it.

How fast is the spin cycle?

Many dryers seem to spin up to 800 rpm. I've seen a comparable Maytag that spins up to 1100 rpm.
Obviously the faster it spins the more water that will come out of the clothes. Any other pros or cons?
Thanks

Answer:
If you are talking about a washer, you can control the spin cycle between 4 settings. The manual says 1100 RPMs. If you are talking about the tumble speed of a dryer, it is about the same as any dryer at least that's my experience. I downloaded a manual from the site and in the back, it only has BTUs for the dryer which is 5300 W.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Laundry is still a chore - but this helped make it better This dryer is highly efficient, quite and has a really effective range of settings that actually produce the results you would want - in other words, the delicate setting actually dries things evenly and gently and the refresh and wrinkle release settings are able to produce results that are comparable to my iron in all but the most stubborn cases. The only thing I would wish to add would be a shelf for shoes and other items. I think that counts as a pretty darn good purchase. October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by We owned this dryer for 13 months when it stopped heating. The drum spins but there's no heat and the clothes can't dry. No error message, it just doesn't heat. We called a repairman and $350 dollars later he replaced the thermostat, thermistor, and something called Assy pcb SUB. Dryer heated for about 15 minutes then failed again. We are now shopping for a new dryer. October 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke already 9 months old. No service in my area despite warranty. Have to call samsung back, started making noise then eventually stopped turning on. October 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad motor Month 114 and the motor stopped, called the repaid facility and they wanted to come out and diagnose it , decided to order a motor on line and put it in myself. So far so good. Lets see how long the second one lasts. Just for the record my old units were 18 years old and still working when I sold them. this one didn't even make it to the second year. shows how product quality has gone down while innovations have gone up. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Less than 4 months old and already broken Just after the 90 days was over and we could no longer return it, this dryer started making a squealing noise. It sounds like it's trying to start moving, and then it makes a loud clunk, and then it starts working and the squealing stops. I have a feeling it's a belt. Also, the steam feature just soaks your clothes so you pull them out wetter than they were when they went in. Another thing I hate is that the "normal" setting is supposed to sense when your clothes are dry, but they're always still WET when the cycle's over. I then have to turn it on for 5-10 more minutes. It's beyond terrible. Two other smaller issues that I don't like: 1. You have to push the power button VERY hard to get it to turn on. 2. I wish the time setting allowed for the dry sensor. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Dryer The dryer seems skinnier than our old one. It is 27" wide that is actually the same width as our old one but just appears smaller. Careful on delivery. Home Depot hires 3rd party for delivery. October 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steam When I first looked at this unit I didn't realize that this particular model that I bought had a water connection! The repair guy that Home Depot sent came in and did a great job setting everything up. Next thing I know I've got dryer full all of clothes that sat too long, I turn it back on and the steam takes care of them! It was amazing September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! Super fast drying. We converted from gas because we now have solar. Works great. Easy to program. Finish chime is cute (a little too long but it's fine). Dryer is rather loud but if I needed to, I can shut the laundry room door. Love this dryer. October 1, 2016
