I have only had this dryer for a few days, but after several loads of laundry (bedding, towels, clothing) I am very impressed with the drying efficiency! Wow, is it fast ... faster drying than the washer is at washing. No more waiting in line for the dryer to finish.

Features seems to be great but my wife thinks it's taking a lot longer for the clothes to dry than our old dryer. She doesn't think it's heating enough that's why it's taking a lot longer. We're worried about our gas and electric bill being higher.

I bought this set in December. Have loved it from first sight! I did however just deal with two random issues. First one being, I started a load of clothes to dry & it was making a noise like if I was drying a whole dryer full of gym shoes. It eventually stops after a half hour.
The second issue, (from this week) my dryer would shut off after 3 minutes into the drying cycle. Tech came out today and said it was a sensor issue & the machine said it was already dry. Clearly it wasn't.
So I was annoyed with spending $70 dollars at a laundry mat when I had this new machine in my basement.
Anyhow, it has been fixed.
I am pretty impressed with how quick Samsung sent someone out to fix the machine.

This dryer drys very fast and is easy to use. Many options that we don't use. Having the lint trap in the door instead of the top is so much better; easier to access and cleaner. We have the gas model. It did require an adapter for the gas line connection. That was the only hiccup as I install nearly everything.

I have the gas version of this dryer. I was very excited to purchase this for me wife. Unfortunately it has been nothing but headaches and pain since we got it. My wife is super frustrated and upset, and that makes me mad. The problems are as follows:
1. On sensor dry, it dries for a while and then stops. You go to take out your clothes but they are still quite wet. Like, just slightly less wet than when you took them out of the washing machine. So you restart it. A couple of minutes later it stops again. It seems like the sensor doesn't function well and thinks clothes are dry a long, long time before they are.
2. If you run this on one of the manual modes, even if you crank it up to "high" heat, it takes hours and hours. I would say a typical load of pants (nothing real special...no towels) takes about 4 cycles of 99 minutes each. We checked after each cycle and they weren't remotely dry.
So we called Samsung. They can send a guy out to check on it, but first they want us to hire an electrician to come examine the wiring to make sure it's grounded. It's a gas dryer...plugs into a normal 110 outlet. I checked the outlet with one of those checkers and it's fine...not that lack of grounding would cause this problem. I'm not in the mood to hire an electrician to come verify that I can plug in an outlet checker the correct way. They also threatened that if their repair guy can't find out what's wrong with it, they will charge me for the repair guy's service. Meanwhile my 30 days to return to Home Depot are running out. Clearly Samsung doesn't want to fix my dryer, nor are they super interested in keeping me as a customer. This dryer is well enough reviewed, so I think I just got a bad copy. I'm not going to fight with Samsung more over this. I think I'm just going to return this and get a cheap, dumb dryer that just dries clothes without the little jingle that makes this model special.
By the way, I had my vent professionally cleaned out right before delivery and it blows through fine. The fault is the dryer's, not mine.

We bought this product and had it delivered to our brand new house the middle of January, 2015. As of last week, we had to call a repairman because we had no power to the dryer. So the repairman said that we need a main board which will be installed tomorrow. I called Samsung and they gave me the name of the repairman and he called and ordered it, so I was happy with that, but it is hard when you buy a brand new dryer and it stops working after just three months. Actually, then I felt bad because I knelt on it to see about the back plug, and I put a dent in it. My fiancée said it is ok.

We've had our new dryer for about a month and so far we love it. It's efficient, quiet, easy to use, and even lovely to look at!
