Answer:
Yes it does!! If you pull out the divider rack in the oven, it will then give you the option of selecting the bread proofing function key on the display. I have only owned this oven for a little over a month, but it is the best kitchen range (I have had gas, coil top, glass top double oven electric etc.) I have ever had in my 54 years!! Highly recommend it!!

Answer:
I don't have an overhead exhaust fan, just a vent in the overhead microwave (which doesn't vent to the outside), and haven't had any problems. It is the same for any type of range (electric or gas) without an overhead exhaust.

Answer:
Hi Concerned,
While the induction cook top doesn't radiate heat itself, the pots and pans that you're cooking with do. Samsung recommends the same clearance guidelines be followed for induction ranges as other types of ranges.
Thanks for the question,
Ms. Samsung

I find this question interesting, this range is as safe as any other range with or with out a over head vent. Really you should have been able to ask this question at your local store, they have trained sales people who can help you.

Answer:
Actually the LED lights give off an infinitesimal amount of heat since they do emit light/energy, so they do actually contribute to heating whatever you're cooking! ;)

What I have found the lights do is outline the pan, so you know for sure just what size burner your using. A small pan you can see the unit adjust to that size, on the same burner if you use a larger pan the lights expand

Hi Pdxcook,
The Virtual Flame Technology provides a visual cue to indicate how high the power is set for the induction element. It can be turned off or on through the Options menu on the Control Panel.

Answer:
There is a control lock for the oven part. And a lock on the door of the oven. I haven't read the entire book on the top part, but if somebody does turn it on, without a magnetic pot/pan the heat cannot transfer. I haven't placed my hand on it straight to try it, but everyone has told me that.

After using the range for nearly a year the cooktop began making a strange humming sound when more than one burner was being used and the temperature probe no longer worked. The range was under warranty. I had four separate service calls where they attempted to fix it but could not. In the meantime I moved and took the range with me to our new home but a number of months had passed. When we settled into our new home I called Samsung and attempted to have the range fixed again. It was determined that it could not be fixed and Samsung would need to replace it. Enter Samsung for the WORST customer service experience ever. They claimed that the item was no longer under warranty and that they would not replace it at full value even though the repair ticket had begun when the range was under warranty. Then, they had the nerve to accuse me of lying about my move since a period of months had passed between the service calls. Even if they agreed to replace the range (which they did not) I would NEVER buy a Samsung appliance again. Buyer Beware!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Innovative, but could be better executed This is the only unit on the market I could find with induction top and convertible-split oven. Love that part! But paid plenty extra for that feature. Problem is, can not do standard bake in smaller upper oven, only convection, which is not right for biscuits, pizza or many other the dishes. For standard bake, you have to use the bigger, lower oven. The basket-shaped lowest rack in oven has a support bar in the way of sliding dishes in and out and limits the useable depth.; practically unusable. Rack position in upper oven places broiler pan items either 1/2" or 5" from burner; not best broiling. Easy glide rack can only be placed in certain slots and interferes with placing other rack. Not enough standard racks included. And I've only been using it for a few days....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased My wife and I really like our new range. The precision of cooking on the induction top is second to none. Fast to heat up and easy to clean. The dual oven feature with the divider is awesome, cookies and pizza at the same time. Much quicker to preheat this oven compared to our old electric oven. The touch screen controls are thoughtful and quick, the big knobs for the induction burners are a nice touch. Style, performance and function are on par with this range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty and function I have been wanting an induction range for a long time. This with the convection and or conventional baking functions, really great. The power boost element capacity is ingenious. Faster than a microwave. Cleans easily. The "virtual flame" is a great talking point with guests. It's also a safety feature from my standpoint, since I can clearly see if the element is funcioning properly and if it is "on".. So far, very happy. Samsung seems to have put all the bells and whistles in this model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Range So far I like the range and the stove. They both have a learning curve on them we are still working on. The touch screen turns on to easily and does so even during clean up. I do love the stove top, but don't love the arrangement of the burners. They run fairly hot and often times medium is a little too hot. Water heats up in a flash though on high. It does shorten the time span for dinner. Oven preheats quick too (at least a lock quicker than our old oven).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective product This was supposed to be easy-to-operate worry free product. It started causing issues two months after I bought it. First time, the right elements were not working. The second time, the left elements were note working. Third time, the left big element was not working. Currently the two left elements are not working. This is the worst purchase I have ever made. I was better off staying with my 20 years old range, which since I bought the apartment 8 years ago has been working just fine. I changed it because renewed the whole kitchen. After the technicians cane for the third time I asked Samsung to replace my range, because it was a faulty product and they refused. I am extremely disappointed both by the product and by Samsung services.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This range has an unreliable oven thermostat. I love the cooktop on this range but have had a lot of difficulty with the oven getting to the right temperature and then holding it. The range has an option to adjust the temperature up to 35 degrees, but I need 50 degrees. So I manually play with the screen temperature and use an external oven thermostat to guide me. As a baker, I'm very unhappy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hot stove! We love the split over in this range - it is so practical! Oven preheats quickly and the top is so much easier to keep clean than our old stove.
