Chef Collection 34.3 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 23.

I bought this refrigerator because I needed one with lots of room, and it did meet that expectation. It does have lots of room inside. The features I have really liked - the lower right compartment can be set to 4 different temperatures, from freezer to 41 degrees. I keep this area mostly empty so that I can quickly re-purpose it as a freezer or refrigerator when I need more room when stocking for larger meals. The bottom of the refrigerator section has a full width shallow drawer (about 4 inches high) that stays about 3 degrees colder than the rest of the refrigerator, and is great for keeping meat that you don't want to freeze. Temperature regulation seems very good - I used a separate wireless thermometer to check, and everything seems to stay pretty much at the temperature you set the compartments to. I like that the door handles do not stick out. The fridge is built solidly, including all the doors, shelves, drawers, and trays. The negatives: There are not many serious issues with the fridge, but probably the worst issue is that the manual that comes with the fridge is incomplete. I thought the fridge was not working right when I could not change any of the temperature settings for the different compartments. It turns out that the controls are in lock mode as a default. You can over ride the lock mode, but it will only last for a few minutes, then reverts back to lock mode again. This is never mentioned in the manual. Also, the display on the front of the refrigerator only comes on when you open the refrigerator, or you press the light switch for the water/ice dispenser. Again, no mention of this in the manual. Also, the manual and data sheet suggest that the freezer has a "EZ slide out shelf". Unfortunately, only the lower right compartment "Fridge in Freezer" has a slide out shelf. The freezer has a 9 inch deep sliding tray that is part of the top drawer and I can't figure out what your supposed to do with it. Also the manual and data sheet suggest that there are 3 full extension drawers in each of the bottom compartments. In reality, the bottom drawers of both bottom compartments do not pull all the way out, making it difficult to get at items in the back of those two drawers. There are a few other minor features that might be expected of such an expensive refrigerator, but are missing. Most of the shelves cannot be moved up or down, and the few that can do not have alternate positions that make much sense. While there are two shelves that can be pushed back, I have not found these shelves to be useful, as the larger items block access to items in the back. The shelves on the doors are not adjustable at all, and the door shelves on the icemaker side of the refrigerator and the lower compartments are too narrow to be useful. These are minor issues. I was able to get things configured to my liking by removing one of the shelves, which is easy to do. There is some criticism of this fridge for not having adjustable humidity dials on the two crisper drawers, and for having to open one of the fridge doors to change the temperature settings. I have not found either of these to be a real issue: I usually fill both drawers with items benefiting from higher humidity, and anything needing lower humidity (like strawberries) can be put on a shelf. I view having the controls inaccessible from the outside of the fridge as a benefit, not a problem. Fingerprints, as with most stainless steel refrigerators is a problem with this unit as well. I have only had the refrigerator for about a month, and reliability is a major concern that I can't report on yet. Ratings on refrigerators are generally low because the ice maker seems to fail for many people, and when something else breaks, it takes weeks to get parts and you have no refrigerator for that time. After doing much research on reliability of refrigerators, I found little difference in user ratings on different brands when it comes to reliability, and you get the impression that they are all bad, no matter what brand. Consumer Reports shows Samsung as one of the more reliable manufacturers, but you still find their ratings populated by people with failed refrigerators and with very negative comments about the time it takes to get one of these repaired - understandable given that all your food goes bad while you wait. I gave up trying to find the most reliable brand, and just bought the fridge with the features I wanted.
