The stainless steel on this range began to rust in less than one year. Even though the warranty says it covers defects in materials, Samsung says that this is a cosmetic issue and will not cover it.

8/21/16 I have had Samsung Stove Model NE58F9710WS for 1 year and 9 months. Last week I ran the self-clean feature for the very first time for 3 hours. One-half hour into the cooling cycle I heard a loud bang. The oven door was still locked and the stove did not register any power. The stove did not throw a breaker. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in to see if it had a "reset." It did not work. Also every time I stood at the stove to cook it was very easy to turn the stove and/or warming centers on by accident with my body. A repairman has told me the stove I paid $1,699.20 for was "fried" and unrepairable after only 1 year and 9 months of service. That's a lot of money for a stove less than 2 years old that now needs to be replaced. At the same time I purchased a Samsung waterfall dishwasher that doesn't clean the dishes, and a Samsung above-stove microwave that makes more noise than the dishwasher. The Samsung side-by-side refrigerator hasn't given me any problem--but the water filter is very hard to change. I don't recommend any of these products at all and am very disappointed that I bought any of them.

Me and my wife are so mad and disappointed, the range showed up on time but it did take 10 days to get it delivered (to long). When the delivery showed up they pulled out my old range and told me they couldn't install it because my range is hard wired, really? its the same amount of work to install the new plug in cable as to hard wire the range, so why can't u do it, the response is its against policy, so they left the range on my patio and I went and got a outlet, I installed the outlet and me and my wife spend almost the hole day installing the range, while installing it ( I am over 65 years, disable veteran and my wife is over 70 and a cancer patient) I found one screw on the board on the range was striped, so I installed the wire above the bus bar. After insulation the warming draw would not close, I called samsung support and of course they were closed, so I went to samsung chat, they told me they couldn't help me because I did the installing and they recommend professional insulation. We finally pulled the draw out and found the frame was bent, so I straighten the frame and after two hours messing with the draw we finally got it to work.
The delivery I believe was contracted by Home-depot and was not helpful at all, they were just in a hurry and seem to have no concern for me and my wife. I have not contacted my store manager but I will go to the store to express my disappointment.

I have only had this appliance for just over a week. The biggest challenge so far has been the learning curve with the touch panel. Little by little, it is becoming more usable. I am also having to learn to use the oven. It takes a little while to become comfortable with which oven to use, which rack to use, and which type of cooking to use.
I have not owned this appliance long enough to be able to say how the energy efficiency will be or how the overall quality is.
I read a lot of reviews positive and negative before buying this appliance, and am hoping that the negative ones do not effect me.
Be advised that the manufacturer is very difficult to deal with. Also if you buy off line be very sure that you get the total documentation of the purchase; FE electronic receipt. You will need this to register and should you have any warranty needs. I would advise that you start with Home Depot before going to the manufacturer.

I REALLY did my homework before deciding on this range; and it's perfect! I LOVE the custom look it gives my kitchen. I love the clean smooth top that wipes up fast. The oven is AMAZING - the Flex Duo is definitely worth the upgrade from the basic range. So many cooking options and the warming drawer has already proved handy. I love my range! Plus the Home Depot staff was so helpful and knowledgeable and the install team was AWESOME!

We love our new Samsung slide in stove. It looks like an very expensive professional stove and we love how it performs so far. We haven't used the convection oven yet but have used the regular bake and it is great. The quick boil and warm burners are a great features. We really wanted a gas professional stove but since we didn't have a gas line in our kitchen we decided on this and it is just beautiful.
