BLACK MOLD WARNING. dishwasher does not dry any plates and will promote black mold and mildew onto the filter at the bottom of the tub, thus you are going to be cleaning dishes with mold and mildew. This started since purchase, cheaper model DW80J3020US does not have any of these issues.
Dishwasher died after 87 days. Contacted Samsung and was told that the warranty expired 1 month prior to purchase (warranty is 1 year Labor, 5 year Parts). Correcting Samsung's warranty error takes 3-7 days. Scheduling service would be faster if they could field to the correct state, I'm in Texas and they want a tech to travel 1300 miles from West Virginia for repair.

When it actually worked--this dishwasher always left the dishes dirty and there was an issue with the heating element. We tolerated the dishwasher for 14mos and then it started stopping mid- cycle and flashing a heating error code. The Samsung technitions estimated a $300 charge to fix the problem. I would never buy from them again!! I'd rather wash my dishes by hand.

Does a poor job of getting your dishes clean, even on the heavy wash cycle. Food residue left on dishes. I would expect better quality for this price. Inside Design does not accommodate good placement of dishes, for example cereal bowls won't stand upright, but collapse on each other, probably one of the reasons it doesn't clean very well.

Very Happy with the purchase. Extremely QUIET!. The three little lights on the front of the unit tell you when the unit is on and what cycle it had reached but I continually feel the need to put my ear next to the unit to even hear if it's running! It's that quiet! Cleans Very Well! This is my third dishwasher purchase in 16 years, first time with the Samsung and I wish I didn't wait this long. The handles even matches the Samsung Refrigerator that I already have. Customer service did a great job, especially since the first one arrived on the truck slightly damaged. The delivery/installers apologized and had a new one delivered and installed within two days! I would highly recommend this dishwasher and any other Samsung Products. I love Mine!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Liss Home Depot BIG Issues will have to return my Samsung
I wish I knew how this product functioned in my home. I LOVE Samsung. I really wanted a white Samsung dishwasher. My house is full of white Samsung appliances. I purchased this white Samsung dishwasher from the Home Depot on 1/21 and purchased the installation. Delivery and installation was set for 1/31. The team arrived and unhooked my old dishwasher and Oops, hard-wired. So, because they couldn't just unplug the old appliance and plug the new one in, they were no longer allowed to continue. Please reschedule with licensed electricians. Have called and called and called with no return calls. Called corporate on three different occasions and by three different supervisors have been told to they would be happy to refund my installation fee and I could call my own plumber. Denise then stated that Home Depot is not allowed to install washing machines, dish washers or any gas appliance in the state of Washington due to state mandated regulations. I doubt that is true. I have never used Home Depot before, but just had a new Samsung washing machine delivered and installed by Sears last year - no hassles, ho issues. Now, I have to return this beautiful dish washer and purchase an alternate brand with Sears- sadly, Sears has Samsung, but not in white. I wanted this product so much, I did call a few outside appliance installers, but they would not work on or install a Samsung appliance.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HeatherTee2002 Not working as advertised
Caveat: I have used dishwashers for over fifty years. This is the first one to give me difficulty. I have had it nearly two months and am still trying to find out if there's anything I can do differently to make it work as advertised.
First, the small stuff. There is no pre-wash cycle. There is no way to tell the progress of the cycle but to wait for it to finish. No directions are given for adding a dish during a cycle, either, although I figured that out. These are not things we could have found out before actually using it.
The main problems, however, are with streaks on the glassware, dirty silverware, food stains and smears on the plates, and usually bits of food on the silverware or the glasses. After every cycle, there are heavy white streaks on the inside of the once shiny stainless steel door.
The first thing we did was to change the detergent. We first tried the gel capsules which I prefer, and found out the hard way that they don't fully dissolve. Then I read in the manual that only powder or liquid gel are recommended, so this is a problem Samsung is aware of. We then tried gel, which dissolved all right but didn't clean anything. Then we tried a high-end powder, and that worked a little better. But still the dishes weren't really clean.
We tried running the water hot before turning it on, tried adding rinse aid which is used regularly now, and tried loading it more lightly, loading half as many plates with gaps between each one. Even so, to get anything like a good outcome, I have to rinse everything and then run a Heavy Cycle. Nothing else works.
We have had everything checked and I am forced to conclude that there's something wrong with the design. The repairman just left, having found nothing wrong with the way it works. (Maybe that's because he didn't try to use it to wash dirty dishes!) His only recommendations were to use Lemon Shine as a hard water aid, and to rinse ALL food off every dish, in spite of the fact that this model claims to have a "Hard Food Disposal System". He also told us to run the hot water in the sink for a few minutes before starting the dishwasher. Since the washer is turned on after cleaning up the kitchen, this advice is superfluous, since the water certainly is very hot at that point.
I am about at the end of my rope on this appliance. The one good thing I can say is that it looks good and is very, very quiet.

For as much space from top to bottom in this dishwasher, the racks are poorly laid out. There is not enough space between the notches on the bottom for the plates to fit unless you have something thin like Correll nor do pots and pans fit down in there. Don't even get me started on the top rack. The worst part is it will probably last 15 years.
It doesn't dry at all without adding a drying agent and with the plates so close together sometimes they don't get clean even though I prerinse.
