I plan to staple this 1/4" on top of 3/4" OSB, then level it with a self-leveler after priming it with latex underlayment prep paint. Does this sound okay?

Also, is this product considered LUAN?

Sande Plywood (Common: 1/4 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft.; Actual: 0.205 in. x 48 in. x 96 in.) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great to work with Had an idea floating around in my about a bed room door for my son i wanted to build. This wood did the trick it was very easy to cut and work with. Great for fun projects with the kids

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soft, splinters, flexy. Get the maple stuff instead I bought some of the 1/4 maple plywood and was really impressed with it. I decided to try the sandeply next. It splinters really easily. I dropped a piece and it sort of smashed open, whereas a similar drop with the maple just yields a minor ding. The surface is very uneven, and splinters will peel up easily, whereas the surface of the maple stuff is smooth. It's noticeably more flexible than the maple stuff. So, yeah, spend the extra six bucks or so and get the 1/4 maple plywood (I don't see it online in 4x8, but my local store carries it). You'll be much happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for small crafts We have been designing small Christmas ornaments for several years and have found this product by far the easiest to saw, touch up sand and stains or paints extremely well. Does not create uneven coloring with paints or stains as some woods do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality Very soft with weak glue, chipped 1" into grain even with a sharp, fine kerf, rip blade. Hollow areas in center plys Surface unattractive and puckered, finish had rough quality that wouldn't sand smooth not suitable for cabinet or shelving.
