Customer Reviews

Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Paint grade panel at best This panel is not intended for stain applications as the face and back veneers absorb stain unevenly. That said, you will find it suitable for paint grade and applications where appearance is secondary to strength. The inner ply construction on Sande is superior to what you will find on the Chinese birch - if you are willing to sacrifice stability and core integrity for a pretty (though very, very thin) face, go with the Chinese birch. If you can't compromise on either the face or the core, insist on domestic hardwood plywood - you will pay a bit more but you get what you pay for. July 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute garbage It's priced like Baltic birch ply, but in reality it's just lightweight junk wood that oddly resembles luan like you put under your kitchen floor. I wasn't paying attention to the weight in the store. The 24x48 panel was large enough to not notice the weight, but once I got it home and cut it, it was apparent how light it is. About 1/2 the weight of typical BC. It's very soft and drinks up polyurethane like a sponge. June 28, 2013
