These shelves look great and add much-needed storage to my kitchen. They were very reasonably priced and hold a lot of weight, though I am not storing anywhere near their stated capacity. The only issues I had were some quality control issues with shipping from the manufacturer. One of the support poles was incorrectly threaded, so I was unable to put the piece together until a replacement arrived. I am still waiting on the wheels- I have been told they ship from China and the manufacturer is having trouble getting them. Since the wheels are one feature that I specifically chose this model for, and I must now remove everything from the shelves again once the wheels arrive in order to install, I'm slightly less happy with my purchase, but overall a great value for the money.

With no tools, this wheeled shelving unit was easy to assemble with 2 people. I was really able to clean up clutter and get things off the floor, and that part of the house looks very nice and organized now.

Although the shelving unit did not come with instructions, it was pretty easy to figure out. Assembled it by myself and partially filled it with craft storage boxes in just under 45 minutes. LOVE the locking wheels; extremely sturdy; clean classic lines; and actually pretty to look at. Each shelf has a lip running around the bottom that is perfect for hanging crafting tools, paper cutters, wire baskets for additional storage, spools of ribbon, etc... So glad I purchased this shelving unit... may need to come back for another one as my crafting hobbies expand!! Thanks to Home Depot for a VERY successful first time online purchase and an excellent in-store pickup experience. LOVE IT!!! :-)

I have purchased another brand of the same type of shelves from HD before. Same thing except the casters needed to be purchased separately. I like these shelves very much and they were easy to put together by myself. I was disappointed that the same brand was not available in the size I needed when it was time to organize my garage.
These Sandusky brand shelves that I just received need better quality control. The shelves will NOT seat evenly in all cases >> I think that it is the plastic sleeves. There are a couple of places that might be rusted. These shelves are in my garage and have some fairly heavy items on them. Only time will tell if these "rusted" areas will affect the performance. The casters seem to work well even with a heavy load.
The boxes were very beaten up upon arrival but they arrived on time.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 4mrakn Durable; does as intended.
Despite inadequate packaging and lack of any instructions, with all parts present, the assembly was pretty much common sense. It helps that I have seen such shelving in use before so could recognize the parts used as shelf retainers and with some experimentation, figure how to best install them. All in all, very sturdy shelving.

This shelving unit came without the castors (which is an important part of the product), nor did it come with instructions.

When the unit first arrived it was missing half of one of the corner poles, which made it useless since it could only be made half as high. I contacted Sandusky and they sent out a replacement very quickly. Its pretty much what you'd expect from a wire shelving unit. Assembly is the same as any other unit - simple. The bottoms of the legs are adjustable so you can make it level and sturdy on an uneven floor. The description states that the weight capacity per shelf is 500 lbs. equally distributed. The key words are "equally distributed." I weigh about 175 lbs and when I installed the first, bottom shelf I stood on it and it bowed significantly - because all my weight was in the center. What gives each shelf its weight capacity are the edges of the shelf - they have the strongest reinforcement. There is no extra reinforcement across the middle so it is significantly weaker there. If you have significant weight on the shelf that does not rest across the edges then it will bow and bend over time. If you are really planning on putting a lot of weight on the shelves I would recommend finding a unit that has an extra bar/support running under the middle of each shelf.
