The picture does not show this but the circular basin is welded on a square piece of metal (see picture). The weld was defective and water leaked everywhere, all over my hardwood floor. Just imagine the fun of taking your decorated tree apart to transfer it to a new stand and clean up the water and fallen needles. Additionally, I have used Home Depot in store pick up on a number of occasions and they always seem to pick damaged products. I think they have a policy to pick the package that is least likely to sell. I personally have had this happen a NUMBER of items. Be careful with in store pick up. I should have known better, the tree stand was not properly attached to the package, most likely a returned item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tree stand I cut down a 12 foot christmas tree this year and didn't realize how heavy a fresh tree really was. The tree probably weighs 2 to 3 hundred pounds. I tried to use a large metal tin stand, it just folded up like a tin can. My wife found this product online so we decided we would try it. It is the greatest tree stand that I have ever seen or used! The price was well worth the product and I highly recommend this tree stand for anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very solid with a design flaw though. I am quite pleased with the this stand. One design flaw though. We used the an 11" tree straight truck. The tree fell over within two days. The flaw. In order to assure that the tree does not tip at the top bolts, a plastic disk the same diameter as the holder is provided. This is to be screwed to the bottom of the trunk with two provided screws. For me the screws snapped. Not strong enough. I cut a new circle and bolted it to the bottom. Problem solved. Stand now works great

Purchased on 11/28/16 and discovered yesterday that the stand slowly leaks water around the base. Now either have to let the tree go without water and hope it survives until Christmas, or take the whole thing down, replace the base and redecorate all over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great We had a 15 foot tree. As a precaution we weights around the tree stand. No issues. The best part was the size of stand allowed us to be able to water the tree because the trunk was too big for any other stand
