ScaleBlaster is an innovative, computerized water conditioning system that solves hard water problems without the need of chemicals, salt or maintenance. Easy do it yourself installation, no plumbing required. ScaleBlaster prevents limescale formation & removes existing deposits forever. A scientifically developed signal hits the resonant frequency of the calcium molecules causing them to lose their adhesive properties. Protects water-based appliances, while making them more efficient. Limescale deposits are the cause of poor water pressure, formation of soap scum, increased water heating expenses and lack of hot water.

  • Hard water levels up to 19 grains per gallon or (325 ppm)
  • Economical model – indoor installations only
  • Homes up to 4,000 square feet
  • 3-year warranty (additional 2 years available)
  • UL and CUL approved

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I was skeptical, but it really works We recently moved and my wife was complaining that her hair wasn't coming out as nice as it was when we lived in the city. I researched different solutions from water softeners to this product. The water softener seemed like it would definitely do the trick, but it's expensive, difficult to install and has high maintenance costs. The scaleblaster (theoretically) would do the job with a lower install cost (free) and no ongoing maintenance. I searched online, saw both positive and negative comments. I was very skeptical that the scaleblaster would actually make a difference, but Home Depot's 90 day money back warranty and the easier install (and de-install) made me want to try it. I've had it in now for about 45 days and I am very pleased. My wife is happy with her hair (key success criteria) and I've noticed that the shower head and faucets have been scale free (I no longer have to soak them in vinegar). My shower walls and floor seem cleaner (it might be my imagination, but I don't think so). The only downside was the instructions say the coil count is critical, so I was very careful winding the wire but I did lose count a couple of times and had to recount to make sure it was right (no big deal). My wife's happy, I'm happy. I've recommended scaleblaster to friends. I recommend you try it (with Home Depot's return policy, what do you have to lose?). February 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beyond Belief , Proof It Works In my mind I have beyond a doubt proof this product works as advertised . In 2006 we had a new home built , a large two story , and because the master bath was on the second floor and the water heater was in the basement at opposite ends of the house , I had a return loop installed to keep hot water quickly available at the farthest faucets . The water here is so hard that after three or four years the loop stopped working due to scale build-up in the bottom of the hot water heater .The return line connects at the water drain fitting , the tank was so plugged I couldn't even drain it . After install , which was fairly easy , the third day the hot water seemed to take less time to reach far faucets , and by the fifth day it was almost instant . This unit has only been installed for one week and I already notice the drain rings and faucet aerators are self cleaning , they shine again like new . Anyone who says this doesn't work either installed it wrong , didn't give it enough time , or actually didn't install it . This is very much a product I would recommend to any one with water hardness issues , just remember this is not removing water hardness only changing the calcium and magnesium properties . This is a product I really wish I had purchased years ago when first looking into this technology . Take your time with install to get it right and I think you will be pleasantly surprised . Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as Advertised I wasn't expecting this device to work well, but I figured I'd give it a try. With the money back guarantee & buying from Home Depot, I could always take it back. Installation was fairly easy, just wrap the wire around the main water line per the directions. In about a day, I noticed the water felt silkier. Dishes looked cleaner after running though the dishwasher. Showers felt better. Water scum was disappearing from the shower walls. My wife is extremely pleased with it. The improvement in the water is tremendous. I'd recommend. November 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by this seems to work great I am research scientist with background in chemistry. Only because there is a 3 month return guarantee and the fact that the water conditioner has a number of good reviews including reviews from non-believers. Although I still do not believe the details listed on how it is supposed to work (e.g. magnetizing atoms and molecules, just doesn't seem to be possible, would make NMRs and magnetic resonance tests complicated) it seems to work. I've purchased this a month ago and installed 3 weeks ago. The installation was a pain in the neck because the incoming water line was hidden behind dry wall in a finished basement. Made an access door and wrapped the wire around the pipe as instructed. I think the next time I would use a piece of spare pipe and wrap it around that first to then wrap around the actual pipe. The company should come up with an easier way of wrapping this for customers. I cleaned all toilets (three) in the house and all faucets, pretty much anything that collected deposits from our hard water. The hardness of our water is around 20grains/g. We have a water softener that is on the verge of failing (only hot water lines) and over the last year we've noticed a lot of deposits in water bowls and other utilities that use cold water. E.g. the glass walls of the shower were a mess after a week of being cleaned. The toilet bowls showed dark rings after a week etc. The container of my coffee maker showed deposits and so on. Well, three weeks after installation and there are no rings in the toilet bowls or any deposits in the container of the coffee maker. The faucets still look shiny and the windows of the shower look clean. Short of words, it's pretty amazing hat this works so well. As to the science of this I believe this does not work by magnetizing atoms and molecules but small nucleating crystals from developing crystals. They are still small enough (nano-sized) to be invisible and cause deposits. These nanoparticles or nanocrystals are magnetized. This is something we actually do in the lab and I would believe this to work in such a way. Once the calciumcarbonate nanocrystals are magnetized they won't further grow or agglomerate and stay small and invisible. As some others wrote. This is not actually changing the chemistry of your water. If you check the hardness using conventional methods or send your water sample in for testing it will still show as hard. However, there are no deposits and the water actually feels softer. I will continue monitoring this and update this post. At the moment I can say that this is working great and I am happy with it.
