Answer:
Hi builderB,
You may purchase left and right hand dummies. You will need to purchase one left and one right, if you want handles on both sides of the door.

I assume the screw placement is as shown on the picture. Above and below the handle as opposed to on the sides of the handle? We already have holes in the top and bottom and are replacing a similar handle. Didn't really want to drill new holes.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The product shown above is an inactive "dummy" handle. It does not turn, or operate a latch, and it is fixed to one side of a door. If you are looking for a "latch" as described above, you will require a passage set.

Can the dummy lever be used to replace an existing knob on an operating entry door handleset?

I have a Schlage Walden entry lockset (very similar to Plymouth style) with a non-locking thumblatch on the exterior and a round knob on the interior. The knob attaches with an Allen setscrew. I just need to change the interior knob to an Accent style lever. The passage set looks like it would work but I don't need an exterior lever, latch, or striker. Does the dummy lever have the receptor for a spindle and a set screw to secure the lever?

Answer:
no, the dummy is for looks only such as for french doors. It does not have the interior parts to function as a lock.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Item not as pictured The handles were beautiful, but they were not as pictured on the website. The handles actually attached with screws that were visible at the top and bottom of the plate. Also, the week after I placed the order for these at aprox $14 each, I found a similiar handle with hidden screws for only $3 each. I was a bit disappointed on both counts. July 10, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Meets expectations The name says it all...It's easy to install and as long as the finish lasts, I'll be satisfied. The only piece I can consider a flaw is that there is a slight bit of wiggle where the handle meets the collar. We installed two pair on our closet doors and just ordered more for other rooms.
