Answer:
I don't think my issue is electrical but more mechanical. The interior knob is 180 out and is not being allowed to extend. I attempted to adjust it but because the tumbler has a notch in it there is no way I can figure out how to change it. The specs state it is universal but that doesn't seem to be the case unless I am really missing something.

Answer:
On a BE469 the lock determines the handing electronically. If it was moved to a new door with different handing – a factory default reset will need to be performed and then the set up.

I see on the Schlage website that this deadbolt will text you when a code is used to open the door. Is the wink hub required to do this? If so, what all is required in addition to the Sch;age connect deadbolt?

Answer:
Yes, the wink hub would be required for alerts. "Wink allows users to connect their smart devices and control them all from one simple app downloaded for free from iTunes or Google Play. In a few easy steps you can connect devices either directly to the app, or using the Wink Hub which connects home automation products to the Internet in one simple process."

Answer:
There is no difference in functionality of the two products that are in question. It is just the exterior style or design of the deadbolt. It is up to the consumer's preference whether they prefer a deadbolt with straight edges or straight edges with curves.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Programming doesn't work with left handle The product comes standard with right-handle deadbolt lock setting as default. Instructions do not include how to reset to left-handle deadbolt lock setting. Googled around and found away to make it work with left-handle. However, the app for remote lock & unlock sometimes works, sometimes not - 2 stars (the app works perfectly with default right-handle setting - 5 stars). May 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Owned it for 2 months, love it so far Love it so far, I've had it for only 2 months, but serves my needs. My unit is 3 stories tall including a rooftop, so when friends visit, I don't have to go down the stairs to let them in. May 24, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wi-Fi has never worked 2 days in a row This lock set seems really solid. I connected it up to the wink system. It's very unreliable. It has never worked two days in a row since I purchased it six months ago. I have to reset the wink hub and the door lock every day to make it work. All of my other wink devices work fine. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Maybe it's me. If there is a low battery, did I miss it? Lock key pad & wireless capabilty suddenly stopped working ten mon the after installing. Been also trying to get the alarm working, no success. Wink alert works buy not the lock alarm. Easy to get help from Wink but not from the lock manufacturer. November 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceeded my expectations I have installed several Z-Wave locks and this was the easiest to operate and manage. I manage multiple passcode thru my Z-Wave controller. My friends are amazed. October 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent self contained security option If you need a self contained way to control access to a door/room this is a solid solution. Can have one or many codes to permit access. Built in alarming if the lock is forced. Easy to change batteries, and even easier to program. Installation is no more difficult that adding a standard deadbolt. Solid construction that will last. Only drawback and it's minor or could be a pro depending on your point of view is that it is not a quiet device. You can definitely hear it when it is unlocked/locked. March 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this door lock! Very easy to install and it looks great on the door! March 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SO MUCH BETTER THAN STANDARD KEY LOCK It was easy to install and the convenience of touchscreen unlock is great. The best feature of this lock is the automatic re-lock (does for home security what teenage kids don't :>). We are going to buy another 2 for our other exterior doors! June 24, 2014
