Yes, it is intended to be used on the exterior or interior of dummy doors or french doors. It will be fine exposed to weather, it would still be covered under out lifetime finish warranty. Please call 800-847-1864 if you have any other questions or concerns.

I need dummy knobs installed on both sides of the door. Do the screws go into the door, or do the screws pass through to a dummy knob on the other side? Thanks.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install Door knobs were easy to install. Took less than five minutes. They look great on our closet doors. Why door knobs have to be a bit pricey is beyond me. But other than that, I'd recommend. December 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by As described. Exact match to functioning knobs. Only complaint was cost comparison of one "Dummy" knob to a complete two knob lock set. September 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attractive and Durable Dummy Door Knob This is my second purchase of this door knob. I bought the first one from our local Home Depot for an attic access door. The more recent online purchase was two knobs for my double-louvered pantry doors. Although I am pleased with the more recent purchase, the two knobs that I just ordered are not exactly identical. I would not have noticed the difference had I not installed them side by side. Fortunately, the knob on my attic access door is identical to one of the two knobs, so I'm going to swap them. The Georgian Dummy Knob, with its antique brass finish is attractive and well-made, and I am pleased with these products. April 17, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good as I expected. These dummy handles worked great on my son's bedroom closet doors, now all the door handles match perfectly. April 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by okay I really like the Georgian doorknob style and finish coloring. My complaints are that the antique brass finish is too inconsistent. Sometimes the door knobs are darker than the back plate. Sometimes the doorknobs are darker than each other. I also don't like that the screws are placed at the top of the back plate instead of on the sides. I think it detracts from the backplate. I always see the darn screws instead of the pretty backplate. I find them to be very noticeable in that position. I wish they would make the screws hidden on both sides like my bathroom knob which was comparably priced. I think $20 is not cheap for a doorknob and would expect better quality control on the finish. January 15, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Hardward Knob looks nice and easy to install. The screws are horrible. DO NOT INSTALL with the Screws they give you. Consider this a public service warning! The heads will strip right away and you will stuck with a partially installed handle trying to figure out how to get a screw that is stripped out. February 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Schlage Is a Winner The quality is outstanding - far superior to Kwikset. You pay for the quality at the register, but less expensive than Yale or other high end locksets. Finish is very durable. February 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this product. Very nice looking and good quality. Easy installation. August 3, 2009
