Answer:
It installs in a standard knob-set hole and bolt hole. But notice that the bezel of the Schlage lock extends 3.0 inches above the center of the knob-set hole. Your deadbolt assembly must be above that on both sides of the door.

Answer:
HI Georgia, you can install below a dead bolt, if that's what you're asking? You will need to ensure you have the space from the hole of the door knob to the dead bolt.
Another option is to buy the dead bolt with keypad, if you like your original door knob. Go to the web product page on the right side and you will see the dead bolt with the key pad.

Yes! There is a knob on the inside, and when it is horizontal, the door is locked from the outside. When it is vertical, the door is not locked from the outside.

If you press the small button at the top on the outside panel, the keyboard buttons light up blue. That way you can key in your code in the dark. After you have entered a proper unlock code, a green light flashes to let you know the door is now unlocked.

Door "handing" is always determined from the outside. In other words, when looking at the lock on the door from the outdoors, or a hallway, a "left-handed" door would have the lever handle pointed toward the hinges. The inside lever handle would also be pointing toward the hinges. Once you get one handle pointed the correct way, the other will as well.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 54 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great lock and works seamlessly! I purchased this to replace an entryway lock that had gone bad. This was fairly easy to install (took about 20 minutes) and the instructions were easy to follow. Out of the box, the lever was right facing and I had to change it to left facing. This change took about 10 seconds to accomplish! It's only been about a week so I can't comment on the battery lasting the stated 2 years, but I'd be happy with half that. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth it! I've had a Schalge touch pad lock on my front door for years, and after being locked out of the back door accidentally several times, and having to climb the fence to get to the front door (when I didn't have the key to the gate), I decided it was time! Money well spent! - and the touch #'s can be changed rather easily. Tip, keep a key somewhere in the backyard in case the battery in the touch pad ever dies - takes years for that to happen though! June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by changed my life--kinda I am never using a key again...best thing I ever bought June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Schlage Keypad lever Great product! Love it!! Bought this product for security reasons, everyone in the family likes it April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Keypad Door Lock It may be too early to tell. However, it was easy to install and easy to set codes. It is working very well so far. It is certainly convenient. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Schlage keypad lever lock Easy install and program. The lock I purchased was the only one of this type that was sealed in the box on store shelf and had not been opened and the sealed box broken. Lock works as described. Good product. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is easy to install. I really love my new push button door lock, no more keys to dig out. It's really easy to install, I received it around noon and I installed it by myself and had it done in about an hour. It works great and it looks great! February 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Lock! This lock was super easy to install and only about $120.00. I have it working for about 1 month. I live in a condo and use this on my front door. It is so easy to give a combo out to the maintenance staff, friends, and dog walkers. No more do I have to hunt for a key - especially in the cold Michigan winters. I only gave it a 4 star review as it has a lot of plastic. But I guess you get what you pay. I did ask the owner of a key shop about this lock and he said it was a great lock. I would definitely buy more, but I only have one door! September 1, 2015
