My entry opens to several closet doors and a pass way into the kitchen. the main level is open concept, but I didn't want a clear sight line into the kitchen from the front door. So I installed a matching slab door in the kitchen pass way opening, filled the predrilled hole, redrilled to match knob height and installed the blank door knob. Many mfrs produce a generic blank knob. Schlage Plymouth Satin Nickel Dummy Knob perfectly matches the Schlage Plymouth Satin Nickel functional door sets. Just another reason to buy Schlage...

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Notlimah3 Good quality dummy knob
Good quality knob at a very competitive price. The 2 screws that show on the outside are the only thing that make this a "good" quality vs. excellent. I had some older knobs that were better and didn't use screws. When I looked into those they were more than $20 a piece. It just wasn't in the budget.

The dummy knob was easy to adapt to our existing and easy to install with normal screwdriver. All the parts matched the same brushed nickel color. Knob looked great after installation.

Perfect! It was exactly what we needed to match other knobs. These should be available in stores.
