Satin Chrome Keyed Entry Knob is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Update on this door knob This is an update to my original post. After using this door knob for a couple of months I can now say that it is not as good as I originally posted. I have noticed a few things that I do not like. 1. I really, really do not like the fact that this knob unlocks when you open it from the inside. We are leaving the house now with the doors unlocked because we don't expect it to do that. Picture this. You are inside and the door is locked. You want to go out. You turn the knob and go out. You must remember to re-lock it or else you leave the house unlocked. The old knob that I took out was the exact same thing and it did not do this. They must have re-designed it over the years. 2. The bell part of the knob is thinner than the old one. It sort of makes a hollow ring if your fingernail hits it. It also feels cheaper that the old ones. 3. The bell part of the knob seems to push in slightly when you push the door closed by the knob. There is only a slot with clip holding it. The old one was like this but it didn't feel as cheap. I suppose all these complaints also apply to all the finishes available. The finish (satin chrome) does seem good like it will hold up well to the elements but it is hard to match with other products. I can't seems to find hinges with that finish so I use satin nickel hinges. It is sort of close but net exact.
