Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AliRehan Amazing EV Charger
I have been using this product for over a month now and its amazing charges my ev from almost empty to full in 6 hours.
I had received out of this world quotes for other chargers and for car manufacture recommended chargers. I decided to buy this product after reading the reviews and I must say it lives up to its reputation and I saved about 1500 dollars.
Thanks Schneider Electric

I've had this charger for over a month now and it's great. A very good charger for the price. Highly recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RayCh Great value, quality charger, simple to use!
After getting over the shockingly high quote from the car manufacturer recommended charger and installation, I decided to get my own and bought the Schneider EVlink from Home Depot and get it installed by a local electrician and saved about 2500$.
Shipping was fast. The charger arrived a few days after I ordered it, well packed and undamaged. So far so good.
Very easy to install. I had an electrician install it to qualify for the government incentive. I would recommend using an electrician anyway as most installs will need to get a 240V line run from your electric panel.
As a precaution, I had the electrican add a kill switch in the garage for easier maintenance and emergency shut off. (the kill switch is optional and not included)
I also installed an energy monitor because I'm a gadget person(the monitor is not required and also not included with the EVlink).
The 18 ft cord is plenty long for my garage. Having installed the charger close to the door means I can extend it outside to charge if I needed.
The housing is some sort of rigid ABS thermal plastic instead of being metal but it seems fairly durable. It's not meant for commercial or public use of course but for my own personal use, it will be more than sufficiently durable.
The housing's glossy white finish and green strip is attractive (in my opinion) compared to the Leviton charger.
I liked that the housing is not very deep. The Nissan / Aerovironment charger is about twice as deep, which would protrude from the wall quite a bit and get in the way. The EVlink is only about 4.5 inche deep.
I read another review somewhere else that one person was concerned about the SAEJ1772 plug being in plastic. I seriously doubt that it's a concern. Maybe if I dropped it often enough on concrete, or fumbled it into the air and let it drop, I might be able to damage the plug's housing. Honestly though, when was the last time you dropped the gas pump at the gas station or tossed it in the air? I've never dropped it and I don't think I'd drop or throw this plug. But even if I did drop the plug, I doubt it would sustain any more than scuff marks.
The included cord hook is simple but adequate to keep the cord off the ground. I actually prefer it than the Aerovironment's charger where you "dock" the plug into the charger. Manipulate the charger twice a day and you'll appreciate that simple is better and faster.
The best part is the simplicity of usage. No fiddling with buttons or other controls. I originally wanted a charger with all sorts of controls, LCD displays etc. Now I am glad about how simple this is each night. Remember this is something you need to use daily.
In one month of daily usage, I've yet to actually touch the housing or any of the buttons. I simply plug my car in each night. I never need to turn off the EVlink. There is an LED that stays on, but I have an energy monitor installed on the charger and the LED and the Stand By power draw doesn't even register.
The Schneider EVlink works great with my new Nissan Leaf. It charges the car within the car's specifications. Being 30 Amps instead of 16 Amps means it will be compatible with future cars that can carge at 6.6 kW.
At this price, it's one of the least expensive L2 chargers that I could find in Canada, but I have no doubt it is a great product made by a company experienced in electrical products.
Thanks Home Depot & Schneider for making and selling this great product at a great price ! You made it one step easier for me to choose an electric car.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ddub808 Fantastic Value! Excellent EV Charger! Stop overpaying!
I own a 2013 Nissan Leaf. I was getting by using the "opportunity charger" that came with the vehicle, but decided I wanted to upgrade to a 240v/30amp charger. I looked everywhere for the best value. The Schneider EVlink was found to be the best. Everyone else wanted $800-$1000 for a home charger. The Schneider EVlink was by far the least expensive and very highly rated. $599, free shipping and an easy install. (1 hour installation by a certified electrician) This charger simply works perfectly! No extra and unnecessary bells and whistles... simple to use and performs flawlessly! I highly recommend this charger!

I bought a nissan leaf and i had a problem that the car charger too long from a regular outlet. Sometimes it would not be fully charged by morning. With this charger, I come home from work and the car charges for 2-4 hours (Depends on how much energy was wasted.) It works quietly and looks good/modern.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Applewins 2 gen. EVlink Charging Station
Just had an electrician install this charger and so far so good. It was probably easy enough to install myself but due to Consumers Energy required a permit for reimbursement of the charger and installation. The EVlink was purchased, not only because of price, but because of the features offered. My electric vehicle, Mitsubishi MiEV, seems to be working very well with this charger. One of the nicest things about this charger is the intuitive lighting sequences on the face of the unit. Instantly you can tell if it's charging, how long it's been charging, or if it's in the delay mode by looking at the segmented flashing lights. I've read where some chargers are noisy. Not this one, only a very small hum is heard when it's in use. Overall, I'd say I'm very happy with the unit and would give it a two thumbs up. Now I'm going to start saving money because I'm not buying any gas!

Very slim design. Very easy to use - just plug it in no button pushed.
Quick to charge - about 4 hours to charge up my Nissan Leaf from 15% to 100%.
there is a delay button to delay charging by hours.
Quick to install - took 1 hour for my electrician to install.
It's been 2 months since installation. no problem so far.

This product works as advertised. It was easy to install with very simple and easy to follow the directions provided. In all it took about two hours for me and my handy man helper to run the wire, install the breaker and test the unit. The cord and plug storage when not charging work nicely with the plug being snapped into the holder preventing any foreign material from contaminating the plug.
Since installing the unit it has worked flawlessly. It charges my Ford C-Max Energi from totally discharged to fully charged in a little over 2 hours. Partial charges take much less time to be back up to full battery charge thus making multiple trips easy and almost always on battery power alone.
