The measurements on this tub are very deceiving. If you are looking for a large soaking tub, this is not it. The length and width are great - on the outside, Inside it is the length of a regular tub. Although it measures 71 inches, it is not long enough inside to lie down and relax without having your knees bent. I am 5.8, it may be ok for shorter people. There is a huge amount of extra thickness in the tub that takes away from it's size. The worst part was the depth - In a soaking tub, I would expect to be able to soak! The biggest problem with this tub is the overflow drain. It's placement is so low, that you cant keep the water level deep enough to soak, you end up laying with your whole top half out of the water. It brings the water level down to about 8-10 inches - lower than our regular tub! Just awful for what you expect you are getting. We had a professional plumber install it and he said "this tub is kicking my butt" He had to go through the ceiling from downstairs. If you are looking for a nice looking stand alone tub at an affordable price and do not care about the inside dimensions, than this is a good option.

First, this is a beautiful tub and as simple and stylish as advertised. As other reviewers have noted, however, the installation is very difficult. and there is no real way to secure the tub to the floor. The maker of the tub is Canadian and they recommend you hook the drain up with a flexible p-trap. The problem is that type of hookup is not up to plumbing code in most US States, as we learned from our plumber. It's not code in our state for certain. The only solution we could find was to install the drain from the ceiling of the room below, meaning we now have an access panel in our living room ceiling. Not ideal. It's also still a delicate hold on the drain, so we have tried to glue the tub to the floor as best we can and pray nobody ever gives it a really good bump so it doesn't loosen the drain fitting. Wish Home Depot provided more details up front on the plumbing of this tub - we would have ordered a different tub for sure.

As stated in the previous review, this is a poorly designed tub. No access to the drain or internal plumbing once it's glued to the drain fitting. We worked around this issue by installing the tub on a raised platform with an access hatch. A simple design solution would have been to make a removable lower base to allow for installation.

I had a plumber install this tub and it was his first freestanding tub. He did a excellent job and the instructions that came with it helped him. It is a sleek, modern, wonderful tub. Very rigid sides after installation. It is constructed in 2 layers that come apart, so it is easy for anyone to carry in. It was packed for shipping extremely well. Cool tub and comfie. Can't go wrong here.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TUBREVIEW Sorry I bought this tub.
I waited a while to write this review to let the dust settle and see how things landed. It's not good news. I bought this tub after reading the other reviews during a bathroom remodel. First, the tub dimensions are misleading as the bottom of the tub is raised significantly from the ground so the depth really wasn't anywhere near what we were expecting…still it is good looking, and deep enough to enjoy. We had is professionally installed and that is the nightmare of this tub…. keep in mind we are installing it in the back area of the bathroom, in other words bordered by three walls. Our plumber had several issues installing the tub, the company had to send a part for the drain which should have arrived with the tub. The drain is the primary issue. the only way the plumber could see to install the drain was to glue the drain pipe, carefully and quickly setting the tub with it's affixed drain pipe into the drain in the floor. Meaning there is no access to tightening that connection point. In addition once the pipe is installed there is nothing to stop you from bumping the side of the tub and it rotating on that drainpipe, breaking the seal. So, then we crossed our fingers. There is no other way to access the drain connection in this tub. (God forbid you should be trying to install on the ground floor…at least we can see the pipes by the access panel in the bathroom below.) After a couple of weeks we had relaxed a bit, only to discover that the drain is indeed leaking. Now we have water rushing from our new top floor bathtub into the ceiling of the tub below. We will have to completely remove the tub, remove the flooring we installed, drill through the concrete slab under the tub and remove the ceiling underneath in order to create a new access to tighten the drain and then reinstall the whole thing. A relatively simple project just become super expensive and super complicated. The installation design of this tub is horrible. Talk extensively with your plumber before investing in this tub, maybe you will find a workaround we haven't.
