Customer Reviews

Mia 40 in. x 55 in. Semi-Framed Hinge Tub and Shower Door in Chrome and Clear Glass is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEAUTIFUL!!! I was hesitant to buy this due to the negative review from New York but I took a chance because of the price. I wanted a modern look and the others I liked cost much more. I have a small bath and my tub is 48" long (Honolulu Industries). That makes the opening between the shower door and wall @5". My contractor suggested installing the door so that the opening was at the same end as the shower head. This would limit any leaking as the water flow would point away from the opening. He also put a thin bead of clear caulk on the inside of the panel (not door). We have not had any problems at all with leaking and everything is very sturdy. Those are the only two things we did differently. My new shower is modern and awesome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap materials and poor design We have a tub / shower that made this piece the perfect size. While the piece looks just as nice as the picture, I highly do not recommend purchasing this for the following reasons: 1) Our contractor was stunned at the lack of a bottom bracket on this unit from where it comes out of the shower wall and where the second piece of glass starts. He was so worried that the glass may come off the tub that he glued the glass to the tub. 2) While the overall piece is very attractive, the manufacturer provides a very cheap flimsy water-strip that goes in between the two pieces of glasses. It is not even a clear water-strip so it looks very ugly. More importantly, it does not even fit properly and so our contractor had to go out and buy a proper water-strip. 3) Finally, expect quite a lot of water leakage because the water-strip on the bottom of the second glass panel (the one that swings out) is very cheap. It is a very standard piece that wasn't really designed around this model and therefore you can expect a lot of water to leak through the bottom water-strip when you shower. Take my advice and keep searching for a different shower door!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shower door I bought this shower door when I was remodeling my bathroom, I wanted to give my bath a modern look with this shower door model and all though it looks nice it's not very efficient because when showering water comes out into the floor. Installing it was a nightmare because the instructions are just pictures and letters indicating the pieces but it does not tell you exactly how to do it, you have to figure it out on your own hoping you're doing it right. I'm keeping it but if I could I'll take it off and return it
